As a Senior SDET @ Pulse
You will be the gatekeeper for product and platform quality and come up with a Project/Feature system test strategy, test plans, resource planning, and execution strategy.
Develop maintainable test automation tools and automated test suites. You will also work closely with Software Engineers and solution engineers from the beginning of the development/test cycle and be an integral part of the engineering team.
Along with automation, create expertise in data technologies, platform components, and features maintain test coverage, regression pipelines, and release management.
A day in the life of a Senior SDET
Develop, design, and maintain test automation frameworks and tools using programming languages such as Java or Python.
Collaborate with development teams to develop test strategies and plans for new product features.
Design, execute, and maintain automated test suites to ensure the quality of our products.
Perform manual testing when necessary, and identify and report defects.
Work with build management tools like Git, Jenkins, and other CI/CD tools to ensure smooth build and deployment processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues, and improve product quality.
Monitor and analyse test results, and provide feedback to development teams to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of testing processes.
You are a great fit, if you have
4-8 years of working experience in Test Automation with expertise in UI Automation ( Cypress / Selenium /Playwright ) and API Automation.
Strong programming skills in Java or Python, and other scripting languages.
Experience in database testing to validate data integrity, ensuring high availability and responsiveness of our data systems. Expertise in MongoDB / Cassandra / Elasticsearch / HBase is preferred.
Good understanding of Kafka / Spark / Storm.
Hands-on experience with building processes, CI processes, and managing QA environments.
Experience working with build management tools like Git and Jenkins.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
