Job Overview:

We are looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to design and implement automated testing solutions that ensure high-quality software delivery. The role involves building test frameworks, improving CI/CD pipelines, mentoring QA engineers, and collaborating closely with developers and DevOps teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Test Automation Development
    • Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks.
    • Write automated tests for API, UI, integration, and performance testing.
    • Implement automation using languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
  2. Test Strategy & Planning
    • Define testing strategies for new features.
    • Ensure high test coverage across applications.
    • Identify test scenarios, edge cases, and failure points.
  3. CI/CD Integration
    • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
    • Enable continuous testing in build pipelines.
  4. Automation Tools
    • Develop automation using tools such as:
      • Selenium
      • Appium
      • Rest Assured
      • TestNG
  5. Performance & Reliability Testing
    • Create performance tests using tools like Apache JMeter.
    • Monitor system performance and identify bottlenecks.
  6. Code Reviews & Best Practices
    • Review test automation code.
    • Promote best practices for maintainable and reliable tests.
  7. Collaboration
    • Work with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams.
    • Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning and retrospectives.
  8. Mentorship
    • Mentor junior QA and SDET engineers.
    • Guide teams on automation strategy and quality engineering practices.

 

Required Skills

Programming

  • Strong coding skills in Java / Python / JavaScript
  • Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
  • Data structures and algorithms basics

Automation

  • UI automation frameworks
  • API testing
  • Mobile testing

Tools & Technologies

  • Selenium
  • Java/Python
  • Appium
  • Apache JMeter
  • Docker

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4–8 years of experience in automation testing or SDET roles
  • Experience with microservices architecture
  • Cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services
  • Experience with performance testing and monitoring(Nice to have).
