Who are we?
YoungOnes is at the forefront of a transition. 2026 is all about making it work. We do this by setting up cross functional teams, that are each linked to a specific company objective. To ensure we have the right guidance at this crucial turning point in our collaboration, we are looking for a senior Scrum Master. You will be the key to unlocking the effectiveness of our 3 teams, our new junior Scrum Master, and our management team. We might be looking for a Scrum Master but expect a true Agilist. One who is able to build upon Scrum by borrowing best practices from other frameworks as well.
Who are you?
You possess a growth mindset, and are able to inspire others to adopt a "can do” attitude. You focus on understanding people and problems, before proposing solutions. You remain calm in hectic situations. You provide people with honest, constructive, and personal feedback, but are also able to receive it. Hierarchy doesn't faze you, though you still respect people's roles and responsibilities. You strive to guard teams from the whims of organizational changes, allowing them to maintain focus.
Key responsibilities:
Facilitate Scrum (2-3 teams): Ensure that scrum ceremonies and other events run smoothly.
Coaching & Guidance: Guide teams and individual team members, to continuously improve their Agile practices, while focussing on self-organization. You can also coach a junior Scrum Master on their journey to Scrum Mastery. In doing so, you assume their accountability for the success of their team.
Remove Impediments: Proactively identify and eliminate blockers that prevent teams from achieving their goals.
Advocate an outcome first mindset: Work with management and cross functional teams to ensure prioritization and solutions align with business goals and deliver maximum value while minimizing effort required.
Foster Team Dynamics: Encourage open communication and collaboration, creating an environment where team members feel empowered, motivated and safe. Promote the growth mindset within the team and cross-team collaboration.
Advise Management: Provide management with feedback on their own behaviours. Proactively identify points of improvement within the organisation and cross functional teams.
Process Engineering: Identify, track and analyse key metrics and provide insights on team performance and possible improvements in the collaborative processes.
Promote Agile Mindset: Encourage continuous improvement and Agile maturity within the organisation and provide training where necessary.
Conflict Resolution: Identify (potential) conflicts between people/ teams/ departments and ensure these are addressed adequately.
