The ATC at UHN invites applications for a full-time, permanent Senior Scientist (non-tenured research track) and a full time Scientist (non-tenured research track) with an anticipated status-only academic appointment at the University of Toronto at the rank of Assistant to Full Professor (or as appropriate). The successful candidate will lead a basic and translational research program in cell, gene and/or small molecule therapies to promote transplant tolerance and/or cell therapy engraftment. The candidate's research program will emphasize immune engineering, cell therapy, small molecule therapeutics, transplant tolerance and transplant oncology. We especially welcome applicants who build platforms that bridge laboratory discovery with clinical decision-making in transplantation, and who can collaborate with ATC clinical programs such as kidney, liver, lung, heart transplant programs - pancreas/islet transplantation for type 1 diabetes, and transplant infectious diseases.
