Senior Scientist Analytical Operations (m/f/d)

As part of the CMC team, you will oversee external analytical activities and contribute to innovative biopharmaceutical development with a focus on method optimization and collaboration.

Be part of our team

As a member of our CMC team, you will support and shape the development of innovative biopharmaceuticals, taking responsibility for the oversight of external analytical development activities at CDMOs and CROs for antibodies, small molecules, and antibody–drug conjugates (ADCs). You will work in a highly interdisciplinary environment with opportunities to continuously expand your technical expertise and adopt new analytical approaches.

Your mission

  • Oversee outsourced analytical activities to ensure alignment with agreed timelines and deliverables.
  • Act as a scientific point of contact for external analytical laboratories, facilitating technical discussions.
  • Development, optimization, and maintenance of analytical methods for e.g. antibodies, small molecules and antibody–drug conjugates (ADCs) across different development stages.
  • Support the transfer of analytical methods to internal teams and external partners.
  • Participate in cross-functional project teams and provide regular progress updates during the CMC team meetings
  • Preparation, review, and organization of analytical documentation, including protocols, reports, and method descriptions.
  • Conduct literature research and lead continuous improvement projects. 

Your profile

  • You are highly motivated and independent with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You feel comfortable effectively working in a dynamic and multidisciplinary team atmosphere
  • You have a degree in biotechnology, chemistry or biochemistry involving analytical development plus a minimum of 3 years working experience (PhD degree) or 
  •  plus a minimum of 5 years of working experience (Masters’ degree) in a pharmaceutical company
  • Solid understanding of analytical method development and transfer activities to QC
  • Demonstrated experience in analytical development for at least one modality (antibodies, antibody–drug conjugates (ADCs), or small molecules) is required; experience with additional modalities is considered a strong plus.
  • Experience supporting or overseeing outsourced analytical activities at CDMOs and/or CROs
  • Extensive experience working with, or at, CDMOs/CROs highly desired
  • Proficient in spoken and written English
