Role Overview
We’re hiring a Senior Sales & Solutions Leader for Banking & Financial Services (BFS) who can own and grow multi-million-dollar AI and data-led portfolios within Tier-1/2 financial institutions.
You will translate BFS priorities across growth, risk, compliance, and efficiency into scalable AI programs, working with stakeholders across business, risk, and technology. This is a quota-carrying, high-visibility GTM role based in New York / New Jersey.
Key Responsibilities
1. Own GTM & Revenue for BFS AI Accounts
- Own revenue and pipeline targets for a portfolio of marquee BFS accounts in North America.
- Build joint account plans with vertical leadership and delivery teams, identifying whitespace and multi-year AI opportunities.
- Manage full sales cycles from qualification to closure and expansion across multiple buying centers.
2. AI Solution & Advisory Leadership
- Advise CIOs, CDOs, Chief Digital Officers, Heads of Retail/Commercial Banking, Cards, Risk, Operations, and Wealth.
- Shape solution constructs covering customer 360 and personalization, credit decisioning and risk modeling, AML/KYC and financial crime, contact center and branch assistants, back-office automation, and research/trading assistants in capital markets.
- Work with solution architects and data/ML engineers to design compelling POVs, demos, and POCs that can scale into repeatable BFS offerings.
3. Partner & Ecosystem GTM
- Build joint GTM motions with hyperscalers and BFS platforms (core banking, payments, risk, CRM, and data platforms).
- Leverage partner field teams to generate and accelerate pipeline in target accounts.
4. Storytelling, Proposals & Executive Conversations
- Link AI investments to BFS metrics such as net interest margin, cost-income ratio, fraud losses, straight-through processing rates, and NPS/CSAT.
- Lead executive workshops and roadmap sessions with business, risk, and technology leadership.
- Own proposal development, pricing, and regulatory framing together with internal legal, finance, and compliance teams.
5. Internal Leadership & Market Feedback
- Feed BFS-specific requirements into BFS solution packs and product roadmaps.
- Help shape a North America BFS GTM pod and enable scale across priority accounts and regions.
Experience:
- 10–15+ years of experience in enterprise sales, account management, and/or BFS-focused solutions roles within consulting, services, or cloud/AI practices.
- Strong track record of closing large, complex BFS deals in North America across banking, payments, wealth/asset management, and/or capital markets.
- Familiarity with BFS regulatory and risk context, including AML/KYC, model risk, data privacy, and operational risk.
- Experience selling a mix of consulting, implementation, managed services, and platform-based offerings.
Technical Skills:
- Understanding of LLMs, AI agents, copilots, and AI assistants across BFS workflows.
- Experience with data and ML platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, Synapse, BigQuery, SageMaker, and Vertex AI.
- Awareness of security, privacy, and regulatory guardrails in BFS, including data protection and model risk.
- Ability to collaborate with engineering teams on solution architecture, deployment models, and integration patterns.
Sales & Soft Skills:
- Strong executive presence and negotiation skills with comfort in board-level and regulator-sensitive contexts.
- Proven hunter profile with the ability to open new lines of business and expand existing relationships within large BFS accounts.
- Ability to lead cross-functional pursuit teams and manage complex internal and external stakeholder dynamics.
- High degree of ownership, urgency, and ability to navigate ambiguity in fast-evolving AI and BFS environments.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Prior experience with or selling into top-tier BFS brands such as JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America, Citi, Wells Fargo, Capital One, AmEx, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, or similar institutions.
- Experience working with fintechs, payment processors, or card networks is a plus.
- Consulting / SI background with exposure to large digital and AI transformation programs in BFS.
- MBA or advanced degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
