The Purpose:
Join our dynamic US commercial team in Chicago as a New Business Senior Manager, where you will play a pivotal role in our fintech scale-up's growth story across the Americas. Reporting directly to the SVP Global Head of New Business Sales, you will be instrumental in shaping our Americas sales strategy, empowering your team to exceed ambitious targets, and cultivating a collaborative, inclusive culture built on a foundation of extreme ownership.
This is a unique high-velocity player-coach opportunity where you will lead an individual Sales Manager based in Sao Paulo while independently managing your own pipeline. You will be responsible for coaching and mentoring your team, ensuring they have the skills, knowledge, and support to identify, prospect, and close new Payment Service Provider (PSP) and enterprise merchant opportunities. Simultaneously, you will drive your own revenue targets with a fierce sense of urgency, champion product adoption, and contribute to ongoing innovation across the Americas.
Your Impact in This Role:
Drive Results with Urgency: Act with a very strong sense of urgency to accelerate the sales cycle. You will take absolute accountability for both individual and team outcomes, successfully managing the pipeline from prospecting to converting PSP, gateway, acquirer/processor, and enterprise merchant opportunities
Lead and Develop: Provide ongoing coaching and mentorship to your Sao Paulo-based report to enhance their sales skills, product knowledge, and regional market expertise, ensuring they match your pace and drive
Foster a High-Performance Culture: Create a positive, inclusive, and collaborative team environment across North and South America where diverse viewpoints are valued, while setting a standard of uncompromising accountability and proactive initiative
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate extensively with the Sales Engineering team to effortlessly onboard new clients, and partner with Client Success and Marketing teams to deliver customer training and activation sessions without delays
Relationship Building & Trust: Make connections with key influencers and decision-makers to drive immediate and long-term opportunities, and develop strategic customer plans for the efficient handover of accounts to Account Management teams
What Would Make You a Great Fit:
Urgency, Accountability & Ownership: A very strong sense of urgency is an absolute requirement for this role. You possess an unwavering sense of ownership and accountability, demonstrating the ability to maintain high levels of productivity, velocity, and focus with minimal supervision
Experience & Track Record: A minimum of 5 years of payments experience in Sales and/or Business Development roles, with a clear history of consistently achieving and exceeding ambitious sales targets in a fast-paced environment
Exceptional Coaching & Mentoring Skills: A genuine passion for developing people, providing clear, solution-focused feedback, and empowering your Sao Paulo team member to reach their full potential and drive results in a remote/hybrid setting
Deep Industry Knowledge: A comprehensive understanding of the FinTech payments space and the ecosystem across the Americas, particularly how our solutions are strategically important to PSPs and enterprise merchants
Strategic & Analytical Acumen: Strong commercial, analytical, and quantitative skills, with the ability to leverage data and metrics to drive strategic decisions, back up assumptions, and swiftly optimize sales processes
Strong Communicator & Influencer: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor communication styles to engage diverse stakeholders, including technical teams, marketing, and C-level executives. You thrive in international environments and can easily connect with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures
