Senior Sales Development Representative (SDR)

Description of the position

The Senior SDR is responsible for building, leading, and actively contribute to a Sales Development function across the APAC region. The primary objective is to increase pipeline generation quantity and quality aligned to the regional needs across the APAC market.  This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can both design and scale the SDR engine and personally generate pipeline.

Roles & Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Building

  • Design and implement the APAC SDR strategy aligned with company revenue goals
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, and develop high-performing SDRs across the region
  • Act as a player-coach: lead by example while managing team performance
  • Set activity targets, KPIs, and pipeline goals
  • Foster a high-performance, accountable, and collaborative team culture

Pipeline Generation (Individual Contributor)

  • Execute inbound and outbound prospecting to strategic accounts
  • Generate qualified meetings and pipeline for Account Executives across APAC
  • Build relationships with senior stakeholders and decision-makers
  • Test and refine messaging for different APAC markets and industries
  • Own a personal quota alongside team targets

Strategy & Operations

  • Design scalable outbound processes, refine inbound playbooks, and sequences
  • Define ideal customer profiles and segmentation for APAC
  • Partner with Marketing on digital campaigns, events, and inbound follow-up
  • Analyse performance metrics and optimise conversion rates
  • Implement and manage sales tools, data sources, and automation
  • Provide regional insights to marketing, and sales leadership

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Align closely with Sales Leadership on territory planning
  • Coordinate with Marketing on messaging localization and demand generation

Experiences & Core Competencies

  • Proven track record of Sales Development / BDR roles with consistent quota achievement
  • Experience of SDR team leadership or mentoring
  • Impact from building outbound pipeline in APAC markets
  • Ability to create processes from scratch
  • Strong coaching and performance management skills
  • Experience selling into enterprise or mid-market organizations
  • Excellent communication skills across cultures and time zones
  • Data-driven mindset with strong analytical ability

Technical Proficiency

·       Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.

·       Experience with Outreach, Dynamics CRM, and Power BI (or similar marketing and demand gen prospecting technologies).

Language Skills

·       English: Written and spoken to a professional business standard (Required).

·       Other Asian Languages: Proficiency in additional regional languages is a significant benefit.
