Location: Spondon, Derby and Magdeburg, Germany (Multi-Site role; 1 week a month on other site)

About The Job:
The Senior Reliability, Maintenance, and Engineering (RME) Manager is a critical leadership role responsible for ensuring the maximum operational availability and reliability of all core process equipment, automated machinery, and systems within the operation. This role acts as the primary owner for the site’s comprehensive Reliability Plan, driving a culture focused on advanced preventative and predictive maintenance strategies to eliminate unplanned downtime. The Senior RME Manager also owns and executes all major RME capital projects and long-term engineering initiatives to improve system performance and support future operational growth.

Essential Qualifications and Skills:
NVQ/HNC in Engineering.
Level 3 Management qualification.
Relevant engineering experience, including managing large-scale automation projects.
Proven project management skills with a track record of successful project execution.
Ability to present data accurately and succinctly.
Proficiency in MS Office applications.
Strong knowledge of SOPs and engineering standards.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of making data-driven decisions and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Ability to drive a culture of high performance, safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Exceptional time management skills, balancing multiple priorities effectively.
Strong leadership skills, with experience managing teams of engineers and technicians.
Lead by example, embedding company values and culture into everyday operations.
Willingness to travel as required to support site launches and ongoing operations.
Preferred / Advantageous Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
Experience with Dematic automation systems.
Proficiency with G-Suite software.
Strong knowledge of food production processes, equipment, and regulatory requirements.
