Role Overview

We are seeking a Resourcing & Operations Manager to support and oversee day-to-day resourcing across Teneo’s U.S. Strategy & Communications (S&C) business. This is a highly collaborative, operational role focused on ensuring our teams are staffed thoughtfully, efficiently, and in ways that support both client outcomes and employee development.

At its core, the role is responsible for operationalizing and continuously improving our resourcing function - including staffing processes, data, reporting, and tooling - while serving as a trusted partner to colleagues across practices and levels. When resourcing needs are lighter, this role will flex into cross-functional operational or people-related projects, supporting broader business priorities.

The ideal candidate brings experience from a chief of staff, people operations, resourcing, or professional services operations background. They are highly organized, analytically minded, and deeply people-oriented — someone who takes the time to understand not just what colleagues do, but how they work, where they want to grow, and what helps them thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

Resourcing Operations

  • Manage the day-to-day resourcing process for the U.S. S&C business, supporting staffing decisions across practices and accounts.
  • Maintain a current, nuanced understanding of team availability, utilization, skillsets, experience, and preferences.
  • Partner with account leads and practice leaders to staff teams thoughtfully, balancing client needs, development goals, and capacity.
  • Support onboarding and transitions between projects, practices, and teams.

Data, Analytics & Process Improvement

  • Own and improve resourcing-related data, reporting, and analytics, ensuring accuracy and usability.
  • Develop dashboards, reporting, and insights to support utilization tracking, forecasting, and workforce planning.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline or enhance resourcing processes, tools, and ways of working.
  • Use data and qualitative insight to flag trends, risks, and opportunities related to capacity, skills, and staffing mix.

People Partnership & Relationship Building

  • Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding assignments, workload balance, and development considerations.
  • Build trusted relationships across levels, cohorts, and practice areas, becoming a go-to partner on resourcing and workload questions.
  • Develop a strong understanding of individual team members’ backgrounds, expertise, working styles, and career aspirations.
  • Partner closely with the People Team to surface skill gaps, training needs, and longer-term talent considerations.

Broader Business & Special Projects

  • Flex into operational, people, or BD/commercial projects when resourcing demands allow, supporting evolving business priorities across the U.S. S&C platform.
  • Act as a connective tissue across global S&C, other business segments and functions (e.g. People Team, Finance), helping translate information and align ways of working.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in resourcing, people operations, talent operations, chief of staff, or professional services operations roles.
  • Strong operational mindset with the ability to translate ambiguity into clear processes and insights.
  • Highly people-oriented with strong judgment, empathy, and the ability to build trust across seniority levels.
  • Comfortable working with data, reporting, and analytics to inform decisions and improve operations.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills; able to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.
  • Curious and motivated to learn Teneo’s business, practice areas, and client work deeply.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the advisory and/or communications industry.
  • Demonstrated success in building and scaling high-performance staffing and capacity planning functions.
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred.
