Senior React Native Engineer, Consumer Alliance

About the role: What's in the Box

The Client Platform squad is looking for a Senior React Native Engineer to work on the mobile and web apps as platforms. The customers are the internal feature teams who rely on such platforms to build and deliver the features that power the digital experience across all HelloFresh Group's brands and markets, used by millions of customers every day, globally.

At HelloTech, flexibility and cross-functional collaboration are core to how we work. While this role is aligned to a specific Alliance, strong candidates may also be considered for opportunities across different teams or projects.

What you’ll do: The Recipe

• Work on a team focused on mobile and web development, interfacing with virtually all the feature teams in the tech organization
• Help to enable the feature teams to iterate fast and learn about users by planning, building, testing, and launching features
• Collaborate with engineers across the department and the company to continuously improve the code base, systems, and processes
• Design and develop solutions that can continue to scale
• Support other team members through workshops, pair programming, and code reviews

What you’ll bring: The Ingredients 

• Solid hands-on experience working with AI coding agents (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) beyond casual experimentation. You use AI agents as thought partners to onboard on unfamiliar codebases and navigate new areas of the code with confidence. You have a practical sense of how the context you provide to AI tools - specifications, constraints, examples - shapes output quality, and a developing awareness of how agentic outputs can fail, with growing habits around verifying, testing, and setting boundaries on AI-generated work.
• At least 2-3 years of hands-on work with React Native
• A minimum of 5 years of experience working with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Proficiency in building component-based architectures using React.js and Node.js
• Deep understanding of integrating frontend and backend services seamlessly
• Familiarity with CI/CD workflows, along with solid testing practices, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing
• Strong collaboration skills when partnering with engineers and other functional roles, like product management and UX designers
• Nice to have: Hands-on experience working on platform teams
