As the Senior R&D System Administrator, you will be responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and support of Veeva Vault applications within the organization. This role ensures system integrity, compliance with regulatory requirements, and optimal performance to support business processes in life sciences, including Quality, Regulatory, Medical and Commercial domains. Acting as the Veeva Vault subject matter expert (SME), you will work closely with the business to educate end-users on existing functionality, assess new system functionality and deliver compliant R&D and Commercial Vault systems.

Responsibilities: 

  • Work with users across MindMed to analyze and capture stakeholder needs, understand and evaluate relevant technology options, and apply advanced decision-making strategies to develop innovative system solutions
  • Maintain user access, roles, and rights, and implement appropriate controls and audits
  • Audit systems for compliance with internal and external standards
  • Configure and maintain Vault environments, including workflows, document types, lifecycles, and metadata
  • Identify and implement process improvements through automation, new features, or configuration change
  • Maintain system integrity, including monitoring integrations, scheduled scripts, and system logs
  • Assist with Computer Systems Validation activities include development, review and execution of user requirements, validation plans, protocols, and reports
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure uptime and reliability
  • Ensure adherence to GxP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, and other regulatory requirements
  • Train end-users and create documentation for system processes and best practices
  • Collaborate with IT and business teams to integrate Veeva Vault with other enterprise systems
  • Act as the Veeva Vault SME to evaluate system upgrades, patches, and new feature deployments
  • Identify opportunities to optimize workflows and improve user experience
  • Stay current with Veeva Vault updates and industry best practices

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 5+ years with life sciences regulatory requirements (GxP, Part 11)
  • 5+ years of experience administering Veeva Vault systems including Vault CRM, MedComs, Promomats, Quality Docs, and QMS
  • Extensive experience with Veeva Vault configuration and administration. Veeva Vault Platform and CRM Administrator Certification preferred
  • Able to establish effective working relationships with various levels in the organization and has the influence to drive team players to action and commitment
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills 
  • Strong relationship building and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

The starting base pay range for this position is $143,601.00 - $178,060.00. Compensation will be determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, skill set, years of experience, and the employee’s geographic location.
