As a Senior R&D Program Manager at Gong, you'll play a critical role in driving cross-functional initiatives that enable our business to scale securely and reliably. You'll partner with leaders across Product, Engineering, and Business Operations to plan and execute complex, cross-organizational programs. This is a high-impact, hands-on role that demands operational rigor, a solid business acumen, and exceptional collaboration skills.

You’ll Own:

  • End-to-End Program Delivery: Driving large-scale initiatives from initial planning to successful launch, ensuring alignment with strategic business goals.

  • Agile Infrastructure: Designing and running large-scale Scrum processes (LeSS/SAFe) to coordinate efforts across multiple application groups and cross-functional dependencies.

  • Governance & Transparency: Developing and maintaining program plans, timelines, and status reports to ensure clear accountability across the division.

  • Risk Management: Proactively identifying roadblocks and managing project risks to keep delivery on track.

You’ll Solve:

  • Organizational Complexity: Coordinating complex dependencies across different teams and ensuring a shared understanding of scope and ownership.

  • Methodology Shifts: Leading the division’s strategic transition to Agile/Scrum and overcoming the challenges of cultural and operational change.

  • Operational Bottlenecks: Identifying and implementing process improvements to eliminate friction and increase team efficiency.

You’ll Impact:

  • Organizational Culture: Fostering a mindset of self-organization, accountability, and continuous improvement through dedicated coaching and mentorship.

  • Operational Excellence: Boosting program visibility and cross-departmental collaboration, ensuring a seamless flow from planning to execution.

  • Business Velocity: Improving the speed and quality of iterative delivery, directly influencing the company’s ability to meet its core objectives.

How You’ll Succeed Here:

  • A minimum of 10 years of industry experience, with at least 5 years in a dedicated program or project management role, ideally within a SaaS or high-growth tech environment.
  • A solid understanding of the product development lifecycle and the ability effectively translate business goals into actionable plans.
  • Experience working with and implementing a Scaled Agile Framework (e.g., Scrum@Scale, LeSS, or SAFe) across multiple teams.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. You have a proven ability to influence without authority, build consensus, and lead diverse teams to a common goal.
  • A self-motivated and highly organized approach. You thrive in ambiguous environments, take ownership of problems, and drive them to resolution.

Bonus Skills:

  • Experience in the B2B SaaS space.
  • Strong technical fluency that includes understanding system architecture, APIs, data flows, and engineering trade-offs, and to challenge assumptions when needed.
  • Experience working with teams that developed AI agents, Data Scientists or Machine Learning.
