Senior Quality Engineer

Location: Flexible (Bucharest). This role offers the flexibility to work from home, within proximity to an office location. From time-to-time, you will need to go to the office for lab maintenance.
 

The Role

GoPro delivers a set of world-class, cross platform, video editing applications on iOS, Android, macOS and Windows that are collectively used by millions of people each month. These tools enable users to easily build incredible videos of their life events and share them with their family and friends.

On this team you’ll be responsible for the design and implementation of testing for a cross-platform app that empowers users to engage and celebrate their passions in all new ways.

You will work closely with developers and other product team members to identify issues, develop and execute test plans, and ensure that software meets performance, reliability, and usability requirements.

What You Will Do

• Contribute meaningfully to the design and development testing within cross-platform applications.
• Document and report on software defects and monitor progress on defect resolution
• Create and maintain automated test scripts and tools
• Collaborate with developers and product team members to identify and address software issues and bugs

Skills We’re Excited About

• Minimum 3+ years of professional experience in the Software Quality Analyst domain.
• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, business administration or related field.
• Professional experience, harnessing Agile methodology for collaboration, adaptability, and continuous improvement.
• Familiar with the software development lifecycle and capable of leveraging this understanding for the purpose of aligning with operational KPIs.
• Deep understanding of industry standard project management tools like Jira, TestRail
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and quality assurance principles.
• Demonstrable experience designing and executing test plans and test cases.
• Programming skills: Python / C++

Bonus Points For

• Experience with implementing CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with building test plans/cases utilizing external hardware.
• Wireless (Bluetooth/WiFi) testing experience.
• Willingness to mentor peers where appropriate.
