Senior Quality Engineer - Automation

GolfNow & Fandango is hiring a Senior Quality Engineer to join our FinTech Engineering organization.
GolfNow & Fandango Payments specializes in powering the full financial lifecycle for modern
commerce — from payment acceptance and orchestration to reconciliation, reporting, and dispute
management. Our platforms support high-volume, mission-critical payment flows for a wide range of
customers, and reliability, accuracy, and security are core to everything we build.
As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, stability, and scalability
of our systems. This role is automation-first, with a strong emphasis on API testing using PyTest, UI
automation using Functionize, and CI/CD integration through GitHub and GitHub Actions. You will
operate as a technical leader within the QA discipline, helping to shape test strategy, raise quality
standards, and mentor other engineers.

Job Duties

• Own and expand automation strategy with a focus on API automation (PyTest) and UI automation (Functionize).
• Design, build, and maintain scalable automated test suites.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to define acceptance criteria and identify risk early.
• Perform hands-on automated and exploratory testing of complex workflows.
• Lead defect triage, root cause analysis, and resolution efforts.
• Champion consistent testing patterns and best practices.
• Validate data integrity across databases and background processes.
• Maintain and improve technical documentation.
• Mentor QA engineers and help raise automation maturity across teams.

Qualifications
• 5+ years of QA experience with a strong automation focus.
• Experience building and maintaining API automation frameworks (PyTest preferred).
• Experience with UI automation tools (Functionize preferred).
• CI/CD pipeline integration experience (GitHub Actions preferred).
• Experience testing REST APIs and databases.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Fully Remote: This role has been designated as fully remote, meaning it is expected to be performed from a non-Versant worksite, typically an employee’s residence.

Occasional travel is required and can range from within the country (typical, various times of the year) to global (not typical but still possible). #LI-remote
