Quality Assurance (QA) Engineers are integral to the reliability of our platform and future feature development. QA Engineers have demonstrated technical skills and are the voice of the user. This role involves manual testing, automated testing and knowledge sharing. Ideally our QA Engineer will have experience working with web applications and introducing QA best practices to developers. As a member of the QA team you will be involved in the complete lifecycle of projects by participating in design and scoping sessions, reviewing product requirement documents and development tickets for complete Acceptance Criteria and developing/executing test plans.
What Experience We Look For
- 5+ years of experience in testing and shipping production level web applications.
- Minimum 2 years of experience with automated testing
- Experience testing in B2B marketplace
- Experience collaborating with Product and Development teams
- Working knowledge of standard software QA methodologies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Passionate about quality
- Ability to effectively identify bugs and report them using defined processes
- Expert at writing clean and readable tests that are stable and efficient
- Successfully verifies acceptance criteria and requirements when manually testing
- Provides PR feedback on improving test quality, perform exploratory testing of features
- Maintains: Suggest places to improve test coverage during PR review, find potential missing AC/requirements during grooming/planning meetings
- Seeks out and learn industry best testing practices and introduce them to the team, implement testing infrastructure

Bonus Experience
- Familiarity with Agile methodology
- Experience leading quality assurance efforts
- Familiarity and/or experience with JIRA
- Experience defining integration and unit testing standards for rails applications
Your Day to Day
- Overall: We’re looking for motivated and skilled QA engineers to help us deliver thoughtful software. You'll be part of a team building out our internal and customer-facing applications.
- Collaborating with engineers and product to ship sustainable, well-tested software
- Working with our product team to design experiences that meet the needs of internal and external customers
- Developing, articulating and documenting business functional and non-functional requirements
- Translating functional and non-functional requirements into testing requirements.
- Writing and executing test cases to be ultimately automated
- Building subject matter expertise in our product as well as our codebase
- Working closely with colleagues via pairing or knowledge sharing to increase QA knowledge
- Participating in the hiring and mentoring of team members
