Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior QA Specialist to join our dynamic team.
The Senior QA Specialist I role focuses primarily on automation testing, with the majority of responsibilities centred on designing, developing, and maintaining automated test suites to ensure the quality and reliability of our SaaS product. While the main emphasis is on developing, the position also involves some manual QA activities as required, allowing for flexibility in addressing complex or unique testing scenarios. This dual approach ensures robust test coverage and supports the continuous improvement of our quality assurance practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test suites to ensure the quality and reliability of SaaS products.
• Collaborate with the development team to understand requirements and provide feedback on testability, with a focus on automation opportunities.
• Develop and execute automated and manual test cases, test plans, and testing strategies to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Conduct thorough manual testing of our SaaS product to identify and report bugs, usability issues, and other quality concerns.
  
• Oversee the SDLC, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance phases, with an emphasis on automated testing workflows.
  
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on testing progress, issues, and resolutions related to both automated and manual QA activities.
• Mentor junior QA team members, providing guidance on automation best practices, methodologies, and tools, while supporting manual testing as needed.
  
• Orchestrate every release to ensure the stability of the product, coordinating automated test execution with development, product management, and other stakeholders.
  
• Proactively implement best practices in automation testing methodologies, processes, and tools to enhance overall QA efficiency and effectiveness, while applying manual testing where appropriate for complex scenarios.
  
• Support current automated tests and create new ones to improve test coverage and efficiency, alongside executing manual tests for unique cases.

Qualifications

• At least five (5) years of experience in an QA agile role or related professional experience.
  
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies and SDLC processes.
  
• Expert with Cypress & TypeScript.
  
• Knowledge of automation testing for UI/API/Load and Performance.
• Proficiency in creating test cases, test plans, and test strategies.
  
• Experience with bug tracking systems such as Azure DevOps.
  
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in both English and Dutch.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
