The Senior QA Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of the NICE Nexidia Analytics platform. This position is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive test strategies, validating product functionality, and driving defect prevention—not just defect detection. As a key member of our Agile development team, you will collaborate closely with developers, mentor other QA team members, and champion best practices in quality assurance. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute complete test strategies for assigned products and features, including functional and security requirements.
  • Design, optimize, and execute test cases based on business and functional requirements.
  • Work across multiple product areas.
  • Collaborate with developers to define requirements and acceptance criteria for stories and defects.
  • Communicate QA results, risks, and project status to stakeholders.
  • Continuously improve testing processes to ensure efficiency, agility, and effectiveness.
  • Analyze test results to enhance future test plans and scenarios.
  • Investigate and verify production defects; strengthen regression coverage.
  • Identify, log, and track defects through resolution.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for NICE Nexidia products.
  • Mentor and assist other QA team members.
  • Provide leadership and advocate for quality across the organization.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
  • Atlanta-based position with 2 in-office days per week.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Strong understanding of QA principles, best practices, and methodologies.
  • 5+ years of experience in software testing and quality assurance.
  • Ability to write SQL queries for data validation.
  • Hands-on experience testing web applications and API services.
  • Familiarity with backend process validation and data integrity checks.
  • Solid understanding of Functional, Integration, Data Validation, and Regression testing.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to think critically and anticipate non-obvious test scenarios.
  • Ability to work independently and manage projects with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with software deployment and upgrade processes.
  • Exposure to DevOps practices and tools.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks.
  • Cloud experience (AWS preferred).
  • Experience designing and scripting automated tests (beyond record/playback).
