Senior QA Engineer

Contract: Freelance

Schedule: 1:00PM - 10:00PM (PHT) Mon-Fri

Mission set up: Fully remote from Philippines to work on UAE time zone.
Mission duration: 2-3 weeks (extendable)
Experience required: 5 years and above.
Experience in accounting or Odoo is a plus.


We are looking for a highly skilled Senior QA Engineer with a strong background in manual testing to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience in QA, with a detail-oriented mindset and the ability to own the testing process end-to-end. Experience with Odoo and a good understanding of accounting principles will be considered a significant plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute detailed test plans and test cases for web and enterprise applications
• Perform manual testing to ensure product quality and performance
• Identify, document, and track bugs using appropriate tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, etc.)
• Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and business analysts to clarify requirements and resolve issues
• Conduct regression, integration, system, and UAT testing
• Continuously improve testing processes and propose enhancements to QA standards
• Contribute to sprint planning, retrospectives, and review meetings

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on QA experience, primarily in manual testing
• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes
• Experience testing web-based applications and enterprise systems
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies
• Good to have: experience with Odoo ERP
• Bonus: familiarity with accounting concepts or finance workflows

Nice to Have

• Experience in API testing
• Familiarity with test automation tools (even if not the core focus)
• Knowledge of databases and basic SQL queries
• ISTQB certification or similar is a plus
