Who We're Looking For

We’re looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer to lead automation efforts for a Django-based web application in the legal tech and patent management space. This is a high-impact role where you’ll establish and execute the end-to-end UI/UX automation strategy for a platform that supports mission-critical workflows in intellectual property and legal domains.

You’ll be the go-to authority for QA automation—owning framework design, test strategy, and execution. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment, loves solving complex automation challenges, and wants to help shape quality practices from the ground up.

Primary Responsibilities

Design, implement, and own the UI/UX automation strategy for a Django web application
Build and maintain automated test frameworks for functional and end-to-end testing
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure fast, reliable releases
Partner with developers, designers, and PMs to identify test priorities and ensure quality across sprints
Define, document, and enforce QA standards and best practices
Troubleshoot automation issues, perform root cause analysis, and ensure consistent stability
Establish test coverage metrics and reporting for stakeholders
Mentor developers and QA engineers in automation practices and tooling

Some Must-Haves:

5+ years of experience in QA Automation, with a strong focus on UI/UX testing
Proven success building automation frameworks from scratch (Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or similar)
Solid understanding of Django or other Python-based web frameworks
Strong working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and test integration (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.)
Experience testing RESTful APIs and web frontends (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
Excellent communication skills — must have strong English fluency (written and verbal)
High attention to detail, strong analytical mindset, and commitment to quality

The work hours will be approximately 9:00 am to 5:00 pm EST, depending on workload, with the occasional late night when a tight deadline calls for it. We work for security-conscious clients, thus background checks will be required.
