Senior Python Engineer

At Softeta, we are looking for an experienced Senior Python Engineer to become a key member of our small, agile development team, playing a pivotal role in shaping the future of our US-based client.The team will be responsible for a greenfield project to build a new payment processing platform from the ground up, moving away from existing systems to create a modern, scalable, and efficient solution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and sustain a reliable payment solution built on Python.
• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver effective solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to best practices.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to standards.
• Monitor application performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.

Technologies - Python, Django, AWS, TypeScript, React, PostgreSQL.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software development with a strong focus on Python.
• Proficiency with web frameworks such as Django or Flask.
• Familiarity with database systems, especially PostgreSQL, is preferred.
• Familiarity with any modern JavaScript framework and Typescript.
• Familiarity with public cloud services, with a preference for AWS.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Salary:

• For employees: 5500 EUR to 7000 EUR monthly (gross).
• For contractors: 38 EUR to 45 EUR per hour (plus VAT).
