Join a leading provider of mental health recovery services in Birmingham, as a Senior Psychologist. This is a unique opportunity to shape and develop the psychology service at a brand-new 23-bed male inpatient unit. You’ll also support service users across our established hospitals delivering high-quality, relationship-centred care.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Psychologist, your role will be dynamic and impactful. You will:

  • Deliver specialist psychological assessments and interventions
  • Formulate and implement treatment plans for service users with complex mental health needs
  • Provide expert consultation and guidance to the multidisciplinary team
  • Lead reflective practice sessions and contribute to service development
  • Undertake risk assessments and support psychological aspects of risk management
  • Champion the SAFE model (Shared Assessment, Formulation and Education) across services

Qualifications and Experience

We welcome applications from candidates who meet most of the following criteria:

  • HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist
  • Experience working with individuals with severe and enduring mental health diagnoses
  • Strong formulation and therapeutic skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and within MDT frameworks
  • Experience in inpatient or complex care settings is desirable
