The Senior Project Manager plays a crucial role as a key figure in project execution and strategic support. Reporting to a Program Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of complex projects, ensuring alignment with quality standards and client expectations. This role also involves casting, where you will align project teams to ensure the optimal mix of skills and experience for each initiative.
We seek a leader who blends project management expertise with strategic insight, operational efficiency, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
End-to-End Delivery: Lead projects from initiation and planning through execution, monitoring, and closure.
Strategic Planning: Define project scope, success criteria, deliverables, and resource requirements; maintain detailed project plans and dependencies.
Financial Stewardship: Manage budgets, forecasts, cost controls, and financial monitoring to ensure profitability; assist in vendor payments and proposal creation.
Risk & Change Management: Identify and mitigate risks through a formal risk register; facilitate decision-making and change control processes.
Team Leadership & Casting: Coordinate cross-functional teams, lead resource allocation, and ensure the right talent is assigned to each project.
Stakeholder Management: Serve as the main point of contact for clients and senior leadership, facilitating real-time communication and executive-level reporting.
Governance & Quality: Enforce project governance, reporting cadences, and documentation standards to ensure adherence to organizational and industry standards.
Continuous Improvement: Supervise project processes, monitor KPIs, and implement best practices to foster effective teamwork and collaboration.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
Experience: 6+ years in project management within tech/software environments, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead role.
Methodologies: Strong knowledge of Agile (Scrum, Kanban) and Waterfall, with the ability to tailor hybrid delivery models.
Technical Background: Solid understanding of the SDLC, APIs, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), and CI/CD; ability to engage technically with engineering teams.
Tooling Mastery: Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, MS Project, and other collaboration platforms.
Financial Acumen: Proven experience in budget management, cost controls, and revenue recognition practices.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication in both Spanish and English, with the ability to present to executive stakeholders.
Certifications: PMP, SAFe Agilist, Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or PRINCE2.
Mentorship: Experience coaching junior PMs and leading through influence in a distributed team environment.
