Senior Project Manager – Capital Projects

Location: On-Site Anderson SC| Multi-Plant Manufacturing Campus

Compensation: 140-180K

A well-established consumer products manufacturer with two plants located on the same campus is undergoing significant expansion and is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale capital projects. This role will oversee multi-million-dollar initiatives from concept through completion, managing contractors, cross-functional teams, and on-site execution.

Position Overview

The Senior Project Manager will lead complex capital projects within a high-speed manufacturing environment. This individual must be hands-on, highly accountable, and comfortable working directly on the plant floor and job site — not solely delegating from an office setting. The role includes managing contractors, controlling budgets and timelines, mitigating risk, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within scope.

This position may require travel to additional facilities as the company continues plant expansions, acquisitions, and greenfield developments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead multi-million-dollar capital projects from planning through commissioning and startup
  • Manage and coordinate contractors, vendors, and internal cross-functional teams
  • Develop and control project budgets, schedules, and scope
  • Oversee on-site execution and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards
  • Provide strong leadership and accountability across all phases of the project lifecycle
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, and Leadership teams

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required (Engineering degree strongly preferred)
  • Minimum 8+ years of project management experience in manufacturing environments
  • Proven track record managing large, multi-million-dollar capital projects from start to finish
  • Direct experience managing contractors and on-site construction execution
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Hands-on approach with regular job-site presence

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP certification preferred
  • Experience in high-speed manufacturing environments
  • Industry experience in one or more of the following:
  • Paper / Packaging
  • Tissue
  • Textiles
  • Nonwovens
  • Food & Beverage
