Custom Software Systems, Inc. (CSS) is seeking an experienced Project Manager to coordinate projects across our IT Infrastructure teams. The ideal candidate will focus on running a large user migration project, which involves key stakeholders across several IT infrastructure and security teams, as well as IT infrastructure staff in another area of the organization. The ideal candidate will synchronize workstreams across this project, including Windows servers and desktop support, file storage, access management/credentialing, and end user device support, mapping out the project’s lifecycle and serving as central project manager, providing regular status updates and communications to leadership.
Responsibilities

Develop and maintain a centralized project management framework for all project workstreams

Coordinate cross-functional technical teams to ensure alignment on timelines and deliverables

Create and manage project schedules, dependencies, and critical paths for infrastructure deployments

Facilitate regular stand-ups, planning sessions, and retrospectives across technical teams
-
Manage release cycles and deployment calendars across server, network, and cloud environments
-
Identify and mitigate risks, dependencies, and blockers affecting project timelines

Establish standardized communication channels between technical teams and stakeholders

Develop and maintain project documentation, status reports, and dashboards

Serve as the primary point of contact for project status and updates.

Work with clients to foster best business practices, the appropriate use of automation to provide efficient, cost-effective administrative systems and a continual process improvement approach to the Board’s automated administrative systems

Required Qualifications

At least seven (7) years of experience as a program manager or program consultant.

Experience with project management tools (Jira, GitLab, etc.)

Experience with ITIL frameworks and IT Service Management

Experience with change management processes in enterprise environments.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Act as the intermediary to facilitate a clear understanding among all parties about business assumptions and strategic objectives.

Work closely with the TS staff to establish, revise, and maintain standards and procedures while implementing system projects.

Assist where necessary with business process redesign to take advantage of the efficiencies offered by automation.

Assist in researching, selecting, and implementing software packages needed to meet FISMA standards.

Research, recommend and write processes, procedures, and policies to meet FISMA standards and ITIL best practices.

Defines and oversees a list of dependent projects needed to reach the program’s overall goals.

Manages multiple program teams (and sometimes project managers).

Strong understanding of agile methodologies

Experience coordinating technical teams across multiple IT domains

Proven ability to manage complex infrastructure projects with interdependencies

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Basic understanding of IT infrastructure components (networking, servers, cloud services)
Certificates
PMI Certification and/or Agile program management certification preferred.
