CloudSmiths is looking for a Senior Project Manager to steer our most critical initiatives. You will be responsible for translating technical potential into tangible business value, leading cross-functional teams through complex cloud adoptions, and ensuring that delivery velocity matches our strategic ambition.

🛠 The Role: Delivery Excellence

As a Senior Project Manager, you will ensure our projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

  • Execute end-to-end project planning, scheduling, and rigorous budget/cost control.
  • Expertly manage scope and change requests, ensuring "scope creep" doesn't derail delivery.
  • Proactively identify risks and issues, creating mitigation strategies before they become blockers.
  • Utilize Jira and Confluence to maintain crystal-clear documentation and workflow tracking.
  • You will drive our agility, ensuring the team moves fast without breaking things.
  • Facilitate Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Retrospectives, and Showcases with energy and purpose.
  • Work closely with Product Owners and Tech Leads to groom the backlog and prioritize high-impact work.
  • Relentlessly pursue continuous improvement (Kaizen) to increase team throughput and delivery quality.

Unlike traditional PM roles, this position requires a solid grasp of the Google Cloud Platform. You don’t need to write the code, but you need to understand the architecture to lead the team effectively.

We need you to navigate:

  • A strong understanding of Cloud Architecture, Cloud Adoption frameworks, and Migrations.
  • Awareness of IAM (Identity and Access Management), Cloud Security Principles, Data Privacy, and Compliance standards.
  •  Understanding the basics of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps culture, and an awareness of Terraform (Infrastructure as Code).
  • Ability to assess technical risks regarding security and architecture during the project lifecycle.
  • Ability to distill complex technical concepts (like Microservices or Kubernetes) into clear business language for stakeholders.
  • Manage diverse teams (Devs, Architects, QAs) and resolve internal conflicts with empathy and firmness.
  • Robust client and vendor management skills, ensuring stakeholders are kept informed, happy, and engaged.
