Job Description
- Product Strategy:
- Develop and articulate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for financial products, with a focus on advanced reporting and accounting functionalities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize features and enhancements based on market trends, regulatory changes, customer feedback, and business value.
- Requirements Gathering and Documentation:
- Elicit, document, and prioritize detailed product requirements, ensuring compliance with industry-specific reporting standards and accounting principles.
- Utilize Agile best practices to break down high-level features into user stories, tasks, and subtasks for effective sprint planning.
- User Story Writing:
- Craft clear, concise, and actionable user stories that address the intricacies of financial reporting and accounting, adhering to industry-specific compliance and security standards.
- Collaborate with business analysts and subject matter experts to ensure user stories meet stringent acceptance criteria and deliver value to end-users.
- Financial Reporting Expertise:
- Leverage deep knowledge of financial reporting standards and frameworks (e.g., IFRS, GAAP) to guide the development of comprehensive reporting solutions.
- Collaborate with finance professionals to understand their reporting needs and translate them into effective product features.
- Accounting Integration:
- Work closely with accounting teams to integrate financial products seamlessly into existing accounting systems, ensuring accurate and efficient financial record-keeping.
- Address accounting-specific challenges and ensure compliance with relevant accounting regulations.
- Financial Domain Terminology:
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of financial domain terminologies, including but not limited to assets, liabilities, ledgers, balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow.
- Familiarity with terms such as EBITDA, ROI, ROA, and others commonly used in financial reporting and analysis.
- Financial Domain Expertise:
- Demonstrate expertise in various financial domains, including banking, investment, risk management, reporting, and accounting.
- Stay abreast of industry-specific trends, regulations, and emerging technologies to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure that all financial products developed adhere to regulatory compliance standards, especially in the context of financial reporting and accounting.
- Collaborate closely with legal and compliance teams to address any regulatory requirements specific to financial reporting.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with development teams, UX/UI designers, and other cross-functional teams to ensure successful product delivery.
- Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and development teams, fostering effective communication.
- Release Management:
- Own the release management process, ensuring timely and high-quality product releases.
- Conduct post-release analysis to gather feedback and make continuous improvements.
- Agile Best Practices:
- Implement and promote Agile best practices, including regular sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospective meetings.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and adaptability within the Agile framework.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Candidate Should have experience of minimum 5 Years as a Product Owner.
- Strong in Payroll and Finance domain
- Core Business Analyst with good analytical skills, Reasoning skills who has worked with US/UK clients.
- Should have good reporting skills, good in stakeholder management, writing user stories.
- Should have better understanding to translate stories from pictorial representation – translation of the overall req into functional flow.
- Valid US Visa will be an added advantage
