Senior Product Manager

TLDR

Collaborate with users, customers, and fulfillment teams to develop a product vision and drive key metrics for Attendee Experience while delivering industry-leading event software.

About us: How did Web Summit become, in the words of Forbes, “the best tech conference on the planet”? Meaningful connections. Our tech events are unmissable because we make it easier for the right people to meet and connect. Everyone at Web Summit works towards this goal. And we’re just getting started.  We’re always looking to build on the impact we have already made at Web Summit. In the coming years we’ll take Web Summit to new markets, promoting global connectivity, highlighting important issues and connecting global leaders – all while making a positive impact on the environment and communities we encounter. To build a better company, we have to better ourselves. We do that by finding the most ambitious people to work with us.  What you’ll achieve:
  •  Develop a product vision, strategy and roadmap informed by user needs and aligned with business priorities.
  • Collaborate with design and engineering to build and iterate on thoughtful user-facing software

  • Work closely with users, customers, and fulfilment teams to deeply understand needs and identify opportunities

  • Communicate articulately with team-members, peers, stakeholders, and business leadership

  • Own and drive the key product metrics for Attendee Experience, aligning your team’s bets and initiatives to key business outcomes

  • Who you are:
  • You talk to your users. We believe great software is built at the intersection of user needs and business objectives. You’re in regular contact with your users and constantly developing your understanding of their wants and needs. Your colleagues look to you to champion the user and problem space.

  • You communicate clearly. You spend a lot of your day talking with users, colleagues, and team members, and your conversations are efficient and articulate. When you talk about your bets, theses, or initiatives, you’re able to tell a story that brings your team along with you.

  • You think analytically. You have good instincts, but you validate them and pay down product risk systematically.

  • You empower and inspire. Empowered teams with a deep understanding of the problem are in the best position to make the most informed decisions. You champion the user needs and business objectives, but empower your team members rather than dictating to them.

  • You learn by iterating. You have a big vision, but you get there in small iterations and course-correct constantly as your understanding of the customer and problem space develops. You don’t bake wedding cakes without making a few cupcakes first.

  • What we are looking for:
  • 5+ years experience in a product management role, or equivalent experience

  • Experience shipping and iterating on well-built, valuable, user-facing software

  • Demonstrable experience driving business outcomes with software

  • Experience working with agile product teams

  • A technical background and/or experience with technical product management is a big plus

  • Experience with prototyping tools is a plus

  • Benefits and perks:

    - Subsidised healthcare, dental, employee assistance programme (EAP) and more.
    - Pension contribution up to 6%(Irish based only)
    - A dedicated in-house L&D department, with access to workshops, online learning and resources to help you excel in your career development.
    - Company laptop, generous annual leave and flexible working arrangements.
    - Our very own Tramway Team, which drives community and morale-boosting events for employees to participate in.
    - Annual company get-togethers, charity days, and monthly wellbeing talks.
