Sierra Studio is an AI engineering studio and startup incubator – we turn our customers’ ideas into reality! We’re based in Los Angeles, but our teammates live all around the world. We create products across all areas of software — from web and mobile apps to cutting-edge work at the forefront of AI and large language models.

💼 About The Role

As a Product Manager, you’ll lead product for one or more initiatives at Sierra. You’ll understand what our customers want, come up with the right set of features, and lead the team to do whatever it takes to ship. You’ll work closely with designers, software engineers, and our leadership team to take new products from idea to production. As an early employee at a startup, you’ll also be part of creating our culture!

Here’s a taste of what you could do at Sierra!

• Client projects: Work with a startup founder to build the MVP of their idea

• Internal projects: Build an internal AI tool to transform our own workflows

• Incubator: Launch a new product that spins off into its own company!

🔎 Who We’re Looking For

Our ideal candidate is a generalist product manager who loves to learn new things fast!

We care more about the ability to lead projects from idea to production than any specific skills, but here are some preferred qualifications:

• 5+ years of product management, startup founder, or similar experience

• Experience leading 0->1 products

• Experience working directly with customers or clients to understand their needs

• Hands on: you don’t just write docs, you get your hands dirty in the codebase and Figma files

• Technical: engineering background preferred – e.g. prior experience as a software engineer

• Design taste: you know good design when you see it

• Analytical ability: you can create unique solutions to hard, ambiguous problems

• Scrappy: you know how to find the fastest way to get things done

• Very strong written + verbal communicator in English

Bonus skills:

• You can contribute to code (with the help of AI tools like Cursor!)

• You can contribute to design (Figma)

• Experience leading AI products, especially involving LLMs

• Prompt engineering experience

• Former startup founder

• Cool personal projects you can share with us!
