Position Title: Senior Product Manager
Location: LATAM - Remote
What you will be doing:
We are seeking a senior product leader to own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for our Design System and Shared Platform Services. This pivotal, hybrid role acts as a critical bridge between our technology infrastructure and our product ecosystem, guiding two dedicated engineering teams. You will dedicate approximately 40% of your focus to advancing our enterprise design system— driving consistency through reusable UI components and patterns—and 60% to building foundational microservices and APIs via our Shared Platform Services. Your primary objective will be to champion the adoption of these shared tools across more than 20 internal application teams, ensuring they have the technical roadmap and support needed to meet key integration deadlines. Success in this position requires acting as the voice of our internal developers, translating their needs into a prioritized backlog that enhances development velocity and ensures our platform solutions are scalable, valuable, and effectively utilized. Your responsibilities will include:
Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the enterprise Design System and Shared Platform Services, ensuring alignment with the needs of internal engineering teams and broader company objectives.
Act as the voice of the internal developer by conducting research and gathering feedback from over 20 application teams to identify pain points and define product requirements for reusable UI components and foundational microservices.
Translate platform strategy into a prioritized product backlog, collaborating with two dedicated engineering teams to deliver high-value, scalable solutions, including APIs and cloud-native services.
Partner with Product Owners and engineering teams to translate business needs into clear technical requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for new platform services and design system components.
Collaborate with product and engineering leaders across the organization to align on dependencies, negotiate roadmap priorities, and ensure the successful delivery of cross-functional platform initiatives.
Champion the adoption of the Design System and platform services, providing comprehensive documentation and partnering with engineering teams to ensure a smooth migration and integration experience from legacy frameworks.
Define and analyze key success metrics for the platform, including adoption rates, developer satisfaction, and system performance, to measure impact on development velocity and report progress to leadership.
Requirements & Qualifications:
To excel in this role, you should possess:
5+ years of experience in Product Management for a technical SaaS platform, with a focus on internal developer tools, design systems, or shared services.
Advanced understanding of design systems and proven experience managing their product lifecycle, including defining the roadmap for components and tokens and driving adoption across multiple engineering teams.
Strong technical background with demonstrated experience managing products like microservices, APIs, or other shared platform services in a cloud-native environment (AWS/GCP).
Expertise in creating and managing complex product roadmaps, prioritizing features based on business value and technical dependencies, and communicating progress to stakeholders.
Exceptional stakeholder management skills with a proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority to align on shared goals and timelines.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience. Familiarity with front-end frameworks such as React and Vue, particularly in the context of platform upgrades and library integration.
Proficiency with design and development tools like Figma, Storybook, and modern front-end workflow tools. Experience or a demonstrated interest in scalable data and AI/ML solutions.
Nice to have:
Advanced degree (e.g., Master's, MBA) in Computer Science, Business
Administration, or a related technical field.
Experience with Agile methodologies in a scaled environment, managing dependencies across numerous engineering teams.
Professional certifications in product management or Agile development, such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO).
Prior experience in developer advocacy or creating comprehensive technical documentation for internal engineering platforms.
Soft Skills:
Stakeholder Influence & Relationship Management: Proven ability to influence and align over 20 cross-functional application teams without direct authority, fostering strong partnerships to drive adoption of shared standards and negotiate roadmap priorities.
Strategic Communication: Exceptional skill in translating complex technical platform needs into compelling business value for stakeholders and leadership, and clearly articulating the vision to champion platform adoption.
Strategic Systems Thinking: Ability to develop and own the long-term vision for the platform, understanding how individual components and services integrate to support the broader product ecosystem and company objectives.
Collaborative Leadership: A natural ability to partner with product and engineering leaders, acting as the voice of the internal developer to gather feedback, align on dependencies, and guide two dedicated engineering teams toward shared goals.
Accountability & Ownership: A proactive mindset focused on defining what needs to be done, driving execution, and ensuring completion, while taking full ownership of platform success metrics and reporting on progress.
