Senior Product Manager (gn) - Farmer Platform and Footprinting @ AgriTech Venture, Berlin

TLDR

Own the product that transforms real-world farming practices into auditable climate data while balancing usability, compliance, and data quality.

About Klim
We’re building the platform that makes regenerative agriculture scale. From Berlin, we pay farmers to restore soil, capture carbon, and increase biodiversity, while helping companies like Nestlé and Kaufland clean up their supply chains. $22M Series A. 4,000 farmers. 900,000 hectares. Europe’s leading Scope 3 solution. Still early. 60+ people. One planet. Build something that holds up.

The Role
You own the product at the core of Klim’s system: how farmer data becomes auditable, decision-grade climate data.

This is the pipeline that turns real-world farming practices into carbon footprints, compliance-ready outputs, and ultimately, financial incentives.

You sit at the intersection of farmers, science, product, and regulation. Your job is to build systems that are simple enough for farmers to use, and rigorous enough to stand up to audits and scrutiny. You’re not building forms. You’re building the data layer that everything else depends on. If this works, it unlocks reliable climate data across agriculture. That’s the bar.

What You’ll Do

Own the full flow

  • Define and drive the roadmap from farmer onboarding to footprint calculation

  • Own how raw farmer input becomes structured, usable, audit-ready data

  • Balance usability, data quality, compliance, and speed

Build data products that hold up

  • Design systems that transform messy real-world inputs into reliable datasets

  • Ensure data feeds cleanly into footprinting and carbon models

  • Define clear interfaces between data collection and calculation layers

Make it defensible

  • Align with ISO 14067, SBTi FLAG, GHGP-LSRS

  • Ensure traceability, transparency, and auditability end to end

  • Work with science and LCA teams to operationalise methodologies

Lead and ship

  • Lead a cross-functional team across engineering, design, QA, and agronomy

  • Create clarity on priorities and trade-offs

  • Drive execution from discovery to delivery

Why This Is Interesting

  • You’re building the foundation everything else relies on. If the data breaks, the system breaks

  • The problem is inherently messy: real-world farmer behaviour, imperfect inputs, strict standards

  • You sit between usability and compliance, and have to make both work at once

  • What you ship directly affects product credibility, client trust, and whether this category scales

Who You Are

  • You’ve shipped complex, data-driven products end to end

  • You’re strong in prioritisation and decision making under constraints

  • You’re comfortable working across product, engineering, science, and commercial teams

  • You can translate technical or scientific complexity into clear product decisions

  • You’ve worked in data-heavy or regulated environments (carbon, food, farming, or similar is a plus)

  • You’re detail-oriented and care about data integrity

  • Fluent in English, German is a plus
