The Role

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager, PLG to build the community and the product-led growth motion for ChuckData.ai Amperity's developer- and data-engineer-first product experience. You'll partner with Engineering, Design, Marketing, and Field teams to push our technical strategy forward, ensuring that Chuck Data remains flexible, durable, and enterprise-grade.

An important part of this role is working directly with technical data engineers to understand how they analyze and use customer data within their cloud environments. You'll design product experiences that meet the realities of fragmented, multi-channel data while allowing for the DIY development of personalization and orchestration using Chuck Data as the brain of those operations.

​​You'll also serve as a developer advocate and community builder for Chuck Data. This includes engaging directly with our developer and data engineering community to understand pain points, workflows, and new use cases. It also includes representing the voice of data engineers inside Amperity, and helping shape how we educate, support, and inspire users of the platform. Your success means not just building the right product, but promoting an engaged ecosystem of developers who trust Chuck Data and contribute feedback, ideas, and momentum.

We're looking for someone who brings enterprise experience, familiarity with a schemaless data backend and API-driven systems, customer and product instincts, and the ability to collaborate across technical and business audiences. You'll excel in environments with technical complexity and evolving requirements.

Interesting Problems

  • Validate the product market fit for Amperity's PLG product, ChuckData.AI.
  • Ignite a technical user community around Chuck Data and help support and grow the community quickly using AI, social media platforms, and marketing tools.
  • Help go-to-market and customer-facing teams with the clarity, training, and tools required to address questions and guide Chuck community users through successful Chuck Data onboarding.
  • Work with product design to develop end-to-end-user experiences for technical audiences.
  • Work with engineering on enhancing Chuck Data to integrate with multiple hyperscalers and data platforms..
  • Work with partners to promote ChuckData to data engineers .
  • Conduct Chuck Data user community discovery and research, combining insights into clear requirements, experience narratives, and product direction.
  • Identify opportunities for market expansion by uncovering new PLG opportunities and use cases, integration patterns, and product capabilities.
  • Balance operational and marketer-facing experiences, ensuring Chuck Data supports both enterprise data operations and dynamic development workflows and OEMs.

About You

  • 8+ years of product management experience, including 3+ years building data products or tools
  • Direct experience with PLG motions and building technical user communities. From the ground up (i.e going from 0-to-1)
  • Communicate product roadmaps, translating data, technology specifications, and user need into elegant product experiences.
  • Experience telling compelling stories on stage, promoting new products to technical and business audiences.
  • Comfortable working with data engineers, analysts, scientists, and developers.
  • Experience working with Product Marketing Management to define a GTM strategy for each PLG and ChuckData products.
  • Experience communicating complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences; able to distill complexity, shape product narratives, support release readiness, and contribute to GTM agreement.

Our hybrid work model includes three days in the office each week, providing a mix of in-person collaboration and remote flexibility

Compensation

Base Salary:  $170,000-$230,000. Individual compensation within this range will depend on several factors, including your skills, experience, education/training, and the level at which you join. We also consider internal equity, market conditions, and overall business needs.

Cash Incentives: Cash incentives are also available.

Stock Options:  The opportunity for ownership is an exciting part of Amperity’s total compensation package. Every employee at Amperity receives a new-hire equity grant, commensurate with the scope of their position.
