Role Overview:

The Coupang Catalog Team is responsible for hosting billions of products in Coupang’s catalog and the dynamic processing of hundreds of millions of updates to provide the source of truth that powers the online buying experience for millions of customers. We strive to deliver a world-class platform for our customers to find and discover complete, accurate and trustworthy product information without friction and at the lowest price. We continually invest in the latest technologies to ensure the scalability, precision and reliability at scale of these critical systems.

What You Will Do:

This is a dynamic, rapidly evolving and complex ecosystem, and thus the person hired for this role will be comfortable dealing with high degree of complexity and working with a large cohort of stakeholders internationally across South Korea, Taiwan, China, India, and the US. These stakeholders include Retail and Pricing Product, 3P Marketplace, Search & Discovery, Customer Experience, and Finance.

In this pivotal role, you will be at the forefront of defining and executing a strategic roadmap tailored to the Taiwanese market, ensuring that our innovative e-commerce solutions resonate with local consumers while maintaining the essence of Coupang's groundbreaking services. You will:

• Craft our path to becoming Taiwan’s top e-commerce platform, focusing on strategic product development that places customer experience at the forefront, ensuring excellence without compromise. We aim to set the new industry benchmark in Taiwan.
• Become part of a fast-growing organization which embraces ownership to drive significant impact. We embrace a flat structure to foster a supportive and collaborative culture to enable fast-paced product development while challenging the business-as-usual mentality.
• Prioritize and create a future roadmap of projects and initiatives, considering the necessary trade-offs and optimizing for Customer experience. This will likely include the development of a next generation suite of tools to automate our Catalog processes.
• Join a team of world-class talent drawn from across the globe and drive alignment with a wide variety of stakeholders, including executives in engineering, data science, product, operations, and infrastructure to achieve the above goal.
• Lead a variety of initiatives, from expanding market reach to optimizing product offerings, all aimed at driving customer satisfaction and business growth. Employ a data-centric approach to identify trends, tailor strategies, and deliver tangible, impactful results.

Basic Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of product management experience or equivalent, with a proven track record of developing and scaling innovative products.
• Experience creating product roadmap(s) from conception to launch, driving the product vision, defining the GTM strategy, leading design discussions, testing, iterating, and overseeing pre- and post-launch execution.
• Ability to combine strategic foresight with a strong execution focus to drive results.  Combined with exceptional analytical skills to drive decision-making and system optimizations based on robust data analysis.
• Experience in launching consumer-facing products in a fast-paced environment, with a preference for candidates who have worked in start-ups or large tech companies.
• A proactive approach, with a willingness to delve into details, drive results, adapt and find creative solutions in a constantly changing environment.  Hands on experience working in an agile environment with a rapid iteration cadence (Launch new products and features, test their performance, and iterate quickly).
• Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex ideas succinctly and persuasively.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in the e-commerce industry.
• Experience working and influencing cross-functionally and building relationships across globally distributed teams, with people outside the direct reporting chain and senior executives.
• Experience leading, driving, launching and managing projects with at one of the targeted workloads: AI; ML; NLP/NLU; Deep Learning; LLM; OCR; or any other relevant technologies.
