About the role: As a Product Manager, you lead the development team and collaborate with Drivemode cross-functional members and global Honda teams to build the future mobile apps and platforms. Your particular focus is to build great user experiences and competitive features that satisfy various regions’ needs such as Asia, Japan, and Europe. The projects could include but are not limited to, vehicle purchase and delivery experience, support and assistance, payment and subscriptions, data analysis, and localization. This is a critical part for Honda to be the leading company in the electric vehicle and future software-defined mobility market. Location of Employment: 590 East Middlefield Road, Suite 150, Mountain View, CA 94043 Work Schedule: 40 Hours Per Week (10:00am to 7:00pm) What you will do:
  • Coordinate cross-functional projects for the development and rollout of mobile applications supporting Honda Motor's electric vehicles. 
  • Collaborate with stakeholders in Japan and the U.S. to define business needs, technical specifications, and system integration requirements.
  • Develop project roadmaps covering timelines, resources, procurement, and budgets.
  • Guide technical teams, communicate progress with stakeholders, manage risks, and control project finances. 
  • Oversee all phases from planning to deployment and maintain accurate documentation throughout the lifecycle.
  • Hybrid work is allowed but must report to the office at least 2 days a week and must live within commuting distance (Metropolitan Statistical Area).
  • What We’re Looking For:
  • Bachelor's Degree in business administration/ management or closely related.
  • 24 months in job offered or closely related occupation such as Senior Product Manager in the automotive software industry.
  • 24 months in a job offered or closely related occupation (such as project manager) must involve cross-border coordination of multi-stakeholder, cross-functional teams in the automotive or mobility industry.
  • Fluency in spoken and written Japanese is required to coordinate with stakeholders and affiliates in Japan
  • Travel to Japan approximately 4 times per year, for up to 1 month per trip.
