Senior Product Manager – Assays & Consumables

We are seeking an experienced Senor  Product Manager – Assays and Consumables to drive and sustain on-market products. In this product management and marketing role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the commercial success of our Teton product portfolio by driving adoption, optimizing product positioning, and continuously refining product offerings based on market feedback. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in genomics technologies, particularly in next-generation sequencing (NGS), single cell, and spatial applications, with experience in marketing, sales, or a combination of both.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities: 

• Strong understanding of market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes for multiomics applications, including single-cell RNA sequencing, spatial transcriptomics, in situ sequencing, and proteomics
• Monitor product revenue and market performance, identifying trends and proactively recommending strategic or tactical adjustments to drive success
• Identify new product opportunities and emerging market segments that align with the company’s product portfolio and long-term growth strategy
• Act as an internal and external champion for the product portfolio, leading customer research, gathering VoC insights, defining product requirements, and evaluating trade-offs to optimize offerings
• Support product lifecycle management by collaborating with product development and applications teams, engaging with customers to test specifications during concept and product development phases, working with operations to ensure products meet specifications and forecasts, and enabling sales and field support with adequate pre- and post-launch support
• Clearly communicate problems and solutions clearly across all levels and roles within the company
• Demonstrate the ability to manage competing priorities, balance short-term and long-term trade-offs, and efficiently meet timelines, with a strong focus on execution and ability to drive work to completion

Education and Experience: 

• Minimum of a Bachelors Degree in a core life science discipline – biochemistry, genetics, molecular biology, etc. with eight years of related work experience
• Minimum of four years’ experience in genomics technologies, ideally related to next generation sequencing applications in a product management role
• Strong communicator with the ability to work with cross-functional teams without line management authority
• Well organized ability to help drive projects, multi-task, and prioritize projects and tasks efficiently
• Good understanding of core principles of product management and how to best apply them to the life science market
• Solid understanding of selling process and how it is used effectively with varying product types in different segments of life science market
• Excellent computing skills, with specific knowledge of Microsoft Office tool set; Salesforce.com knowledge a plus
• Experience managing the lifecycle of a range of different product types from idea conceptualization through launch, growth, and maturity, etc

• Must be flexible in working hours as this position may require customer support during non-regular business hours

Job Type:

• Full-time, Exempt

Base Compensation Pay Range:

• $144,000 - $189,000

In addition to base compensation noted above, you will be eligible for stock options, discretionary annual bonus, no cost health insurance plans, 401k with company match, and flexible paid time off. 

Please note: Base compensation will depend on multiple factors, including geographic location, qualifications, and experience.
