Senior Product Manager, Advertising at Rome2Rio (Berlin, UK, or Spain)

AI overview

Lead the development of innovative advertising products that enhance user experience and drive monetization for a global audience, shaping the future of travel connections.

At Rome2Rio and Omio, we’re now at the beginning of a bold new chapter: launching a premium advertising business that connects our global audience with the world’s top travel and tourism brands.

We're hiring a Senior Product Manager - Advertising to help build and scale our advertising product portfolio. Reporting to the Director of Advertising Product, you'll own critical components of our monetisation strategy—from sponsored listings and ad formats to targeting capabilities and performance measurement.

If you're a product manager who loves rolling up your sleeves to solve complex problems—who can move from strategy to execution with speed and precision—this role offers that opportunity.

You'll work closely with engineering, design, data, sales, and commercial teams to build advertising solutions that deliver value for travellers and partners alike. This is a hands-on role where you'll drive product development from concept through launch, with direct impact on our business growth and user experience.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the roadmap and execution for key advertising product initiatives—including ad formats, targeting capabilities, measurement tools, and advertiser-facing features.
  • Design and build scalable ad solutions that balance user experience with commercial performance.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Design to deliver high-quality products on time and to specification.
  • Partner with Sales and Commercial teams to understand market needs and translate them into product requirements.
  • Define and track success metrics, using data to drive continuous optimisation and product improvements.
  • Conduct user research and testing to ensure ad products meet the needs of both travellers and advertisers.
  • Work cross-functionally to integrate advertising seamlessly into the Rome2Rio user journey.
  • Contribute to building best practices, processes, and documentation for the advertising product team.
  • Support the Director of Advertising Product in strategic planning and prioritisation decisions.

What You'll Bring

  • 4+ years in product management with demonstrated experience in advertising, monetisation, or marketplace products.
  • Experience in consumer-facing environments—travel, e-commerce, or transactional platforms preferred.
  • Understanding of ad tech fundamentals including ad serving, targeting, attribution, and performance measurement.
  • Track record of shipping products from concept to launch in fast-paced, cross-functional environments.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to use data to inform product decisions and measure impact.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills—comfortable working with technical and non-technical teams.
  • User-centric mindset with ability to balance business goals with exceptional user experience.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and proven ability to drive projects forward with minimal direction.
  • Passion for solving complex problems and building products that create real value.
