About the Opportunity

We are the Account Security Team of OKX, dedicated to providing exceptional account security protection for our platform users. Our team designs and implements innovative account security solutions, covering identity authentication, security settings guidance, user-initiated controls, environmental security, and platform-level defenses.

As the Account Security Product Expert, you will have end-to-end ownership in developing an advanced security and risk platform, focusing on authentication, client protection, and user experiences. You will also have the chance to collaborate with top industry teams to address significant challenges in security and risk at scale. Additionally, you will have a defined career progression toward positions like Security Architect, Product Owner of Core Security, or Head of Platform Security Engineering.

What You'll Be Doing:

Design and lead the platform’s identity and authentication architecture in alignment with industry standards such as NIST and FIDO, ensuring support for AAL2/AAL3-level security across diverse use cases.
Drive the evolution of authentication capabilities including multi-factor authentication (MFA), Passkeys, biometric verification, and trusted device management, with a focus on scalability and compliance.
Architect and oversee the development of a unified client-side security SDK, incorporating anti-tampering, emulator detection, environment integrity checks, and runtime protection.
Define and implement security experience strategies that strike the right balance between robust protection and frictionless user journeys.
Collaborate closely with the risk and data teams to map attack surfaces, build detection-response mechanisms, and establish end-to-end account protection workflows.
Modularize and platformize security capabilities for reusability across multiple business lines, enabling standardized access to core security infrastructure

What We Look For In You:

5+ years of experience in security architecture, identity systems, or client-side security, with hands-on leadership in designing and deploying platform-level solutions.
Deep understanding of identity protocols and frameworks (e.g., NIST 800-63B, FIDO2, OAuth2, OIDC) and familiarity with real-world client-side attack vectors and defense mechanisms.
Strong product thinking and UX sensitivity, capable of delivering solutions that are both secure and user-friendly.
Proven ability to think systemically and collaborate cross-functionally to solve complex problems at scale.
Self-driven and fast-learning, with the strategic acumen to guide long-term architecture direction and influence cross-team initiatives.
Analytical clarity: Able to cut through noise and identify root causes.
Curiosity and initiative: Stays ahead of the curve in evolving threats and defense strategies.
Architectural mindset: Balances long-term frameworks with pragmatic implementation.
