Senior Product Designer

Job Overview

The Design Team at SEEK is made up of 70+ professionals including UX and Product design, Visual design, Research, Design Systems, Specialisms and Operations. We are distributed primarily across Australia, Malaysia, and Hong Kong. As a Product Designer, this role joins the Hirer Indirect team. Working within cross functional squads, you create innovative solutions for products through your knowledge of interaction design, research, insights as well as prototypes and development. The role will be solving design problems ‘at scale’ for hirers across 8 countries in Asia-Pacific!

The Role

• Leads all UX activities within their assigned squad, from research through to ideation to execution
• Advocates for the user and conducts regular research that delivers actionable insights for their squad
• Pairs closely with the Product Manager, Tech Lead and other designers to shape product ideas, understand problems and trade-offs and reach agreed solutions
• Understands outcomes and success metrics, and continuously iterates on solutions where required
• Regularly prepares and communicates insights, issues, and solutions with persuasive storytelling for stakeholders

So, what we are looking for:

• Experience mapping and interaction design and undertaking research with users
• Experience with wireframing and prototyping tools to demonstrate your design approach and vision
• Applying design Thinking techniques, especially workshop facilitation to guide scope and ideation
• Proven ability to transform customer insights into beautiful and effortless experiences
• Stakeholder management skills to take them along the journey and balance business/tech/customer needs
• Ideally has experience working on online marketplaces, including complex search needs, is highly regarded
• Experience with Information Architecture and designing for navigation systems
• Work with design systems and producing visual design and screen layouts
• Strong written, verbal and visual communication skills to work in and with other distributed teams
