Senior Product Designer, Mobile

$162,000 – $190,000 per year

TLDR

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design an innovative no-code editor that powers mobile app development for millions of non-technical users.

We built Bubble with a clear mission: to empower everyone to create software. Our AI visual development platform lets anyone, from first-time entrepreneurs to enterprise teams, take an idea from prompt to fully-functional, scalable app across web, iOS, and Android. With over 6 million users in more than 100 countries, Bubble is breaking down the barriers to entrepreneurship and innovation worldwide.

Our Product

Bubble is the only fully visual AI app builder that lets you vibe code without the code to go beyond prototypes and launch real apps to real users. Chat with AI when you want speed, edit directly when you want control. Bubble's visual editor lets you fine-tune any detail, from the design to privacy rules and programming logic, so you're never stuck, even if AI hits its limits. Everything you need comes built in: a unified web and native mobile editor, enterprise-grade hosting, security, database management, and automatic scaling that grows with your business.

You can build just about anything on Bubble, and our community is living proof. Mailead grew a $10K investment into a $2M valuation, and Faceless.video went from zero to $1M+ ARR in under a year. People aren't just launching products on Bubble, they're building real businesses. See how Bubble builders are shipping apps that change industries, solve problems, and shape the future here: Inspiring builders, breakthrough apps.

Why Join Bubble Now?

The rise of AI-generated software has validated everything Bubble has been building toward for over a decade. But pure AI-generated code is fragile, hard to debug, and rarely production-ready. Bubble bridges that gap, combining the speed of AI with a structured visual platform that produces stable, scalable, secure software. The people who join Bubble right now will help define what that means for millions of builders around the world. If you've ever wanted to work on something that genuinely changes who gets to build, this is your moment.

About The Role: We're looking for a Senior Product Designer, Mobile to shape how founders and teams use Bubble to build native mobile apps, without writing code.

Most of your design work will be in Bubble's web-based editor: the tools, workflows, and surfaces that builders use to create cross-platform React Native apps. Fluency in mobile platform conventions is essential, not because you'll be designing mobile UIs all day, but because understanding what builders are trying to produce is how you'll design great tooling for them. You'll also contribute to the mobile runtime experience that end-users see, but the editor is where you'll spend the majority of your time.

You'll join a multidisciplinary squad of PMs, engineers, and designers focused on making Bubble's mobile capabilities world-class for non-technical builders.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Own end-to-end design for mobile-focused editor surfaces: builder workflows, configuration UIs, preview and testing flows, and mobile-specific tooling within the Bubble editor.

  • Design editor experiences that help builders correctly apply mobile-native patterns, navigation, gestures, layout, actions, and spacing, without needing to understand platform conventions themselves.

  • Contribute to the mobile runtime experience on iOS and Android, ensuring that what builders produce meets native quality standards.

  • Partner with PM and other designers to shape how the Bubble editor communicates mobile concepts (like safe areas, tab bars, or platform-specific behaviors) to non-technical users.

  • Lead design from problem definition through research, interaction design, visual design, prototyping, and launch.

  • Gather mobile-specific feedback with PM and user-facing teams, identifying opportunities that improve builder adoption and retention.

  • Plan and run lightweight UX research and synthesize findings into actionable insights.

  • Evolve mobile-related components and patterns within Bubble's visual elements, informed by iOS and Android platform guidelines.

  • Collaborate with engineering to scope and sequence mobile releases without sacrificing quality.

  • Use AI and prototyping tools to explore and communicate interaction behavior.

Your Achievements

  • Designed or improved creation tools, editors, or configuration interfaces that help users build or manage complex outputs, bonus if it involved mobile experiences.

  • Shipped end-to-end work across complex web applications

  • Demonstrated understanding of native mobile products and platform conventions.

  • Led ambiguous design projects, clarifying priorities and direction with minimal oversight.

  • Worked closely with engineers on interaction details, motion, and simplicity in complex flows.

  • Used AI-assisted or code-adjacent tools to validate ideas quickly.

Qualifications We Need

  • 7+ years in Product Design or UX, with strong experience designing complex web applications (editors, admin tools, dashboards, or builder/creator tools).

  • Strong interaction and UX foundation with portfolio examples demonstrating systems-level thinking.

  • Familiarity with iOS and/or Android design conventions, and judgment on when to follow vs. diverge from them. Deep mobile platform experience is a strong plus, but we also value candidates with excellent tooling or builder-product backgrounds who are eager to develop mobile expertise.

  • Experience designing tools or interfaces where the end-user of your design is creating something for someone else (e.g., builder tools, CMSs, design tools, developer platforms).

  • Able to work independently and lead complex projects from framing to launch.

    Portfolio Requirements

  • Shows commercially released work with clear examples of complex web application interfaces (such as editors, admin tools, dashboards, or builder/creator tools).

  • Includes at least one case study where you designed tools that enable others to create or configure experiences, ideally mobile experiences.

  • Demonstrates system-level thinking and how your designs integrate with or extend an existing design system.

  • Clearly describes your process, including the problem, constraints, iterations, and impact on both users and the business.

  • Includes examples demonstrating awareness of mobile platform considerations, whether through native app design, mobile-aware tooling, or research into mobile usage patterns.

  • You must provide a password to your portfolio when applying for the role.
