The Role

We're looking for a Senior Product Designer to join our AI team, where you'll design sophisticated generative AI experiences while elevating design quality across multiple product areas. You'll mentor fellow designers, facilitate strategic design decisions, and contribute directly to code through AI-assisted development. This role combines deep craft expertise with cross-team leadership, requiring someone who can navigate complex problem spaces while maintaining exceptional design standards.

Responsibilities

Design complex, multi-state generative AI features end-to-end with exceptional interaction quality, visual polish, and attention to edge cases
Review team designs to maintain coherence, quality, and adherence to accessibility standards while identifying gaps in design patterns
Use AI coding tools to prototype and ship UI improvements directly, establishing patterns for designer-submitted code contributions
Facilitate multi-team workshops for strategic initiatives, opportunity mapping, and complex prioritization decisions
Guide teams through structured problem-solving approaches while introducing new analytical frameworks to elevate reasoning
Establish design system guidelines and governance processes that scale across teams, anticipating future needs based on product roadmap
Partner with PM and engineering leads to align UX investments with roadmap strategy and refine cross-functional collaboration practices
Share expertise in research practices, strategic thinking, and AI tool adoption with fellow designers to accelerate team growth
Create AI-enhanced design workflows and reusable prompt libraries that elevate team productivity while maintaining craft standards
Influence senior leadership through experience strategy articulation and UX-driven business cases

Requirements

Deep experience designing sophisticated digital products with exceptional interaction design and visual craft
Proven track record with AI-powered or machine learning products, understanding the unique challenges of designing for generative AI
Strong accessibility and inclusive design practices with experience reviewing designs for compliance and quality
Experience with AI coding tools like Claude for prototyping and development collaboration
Demonstrated ability to facilitate workshops, lead design critique, and guide cross-functional teams through complex decisions
Experience mentoring designers and providing actionable feedback tailored to individual growth needs
Strong analytical thinking with experience using frameworks for prioritization and strategic decision-making
Understanding of front-end development constraints and design system architecture

Nice to Have

Experience contributing to design systems at scale with component design and documentation
Background in user research methodologies and continuous discovery practices
Experience with technical product domains or B2B software
Track record of influencing product strategy through UX vision and business acumen
