Design user experiences for loan servicing solutions while collaborating closely with product managers and engineers to enhance the Private Credit platform.

About Juniper Square

Our mission is to unlock the full potential of private markets. Privately owned assets like commercial real estate, private equity, and venture capital make up half of our financial ecosystem yet remain inaccessible to most people. We are digitizing these markets, and as a result, bringing efficiency, transparency, and access to one of the most productive corners of our financial ecosystem. If you care about making the world a better place by making markets work better through technology – all while contributing as a member of a values-driven organization – we want to hear from you.

Juniper Square offers employees a variety of ways to work, ranging from a fully remote experience to working full-time in one of our physical offices. We invest heavily in digital-first operations, allowing our teams to collaborate effectively across 27 U.S. states, 2 Canadian Provinces, India, Luxembourg, and England. We also have physical offices in San Francisco, New York City, Mumbai and Bangalore for employees who prefer to work in an office some or all of the time.

About your role

We're looking for an experienced and autonomous Senior Product Designer to partner with our Private Credit platform team, where we build solutions to automate the workflows that happen during the life cycle of a loan. You’ll focus on designing elegant and modern solutions for loan servicers and Private Credit portfolio managers.

Are payments coming on time and as expected? Are interest accruals calculated correctly? Are floating rates impacting my portfolio? These typical questions, and more, will be implicitly answered by the systems we are building, putting data at our customers' fingertips.

Juniper Square provides mission-critical software and services for our customers, and you’ll be an essential part of ensuring our users can get their jobs done effectively and with ease. And as a member of our close-knit design team, you’ll have opportunities to up-level your craft through supportive peer collaboration and feedback, contribute continuous enhancements to our design system, and enact broad user experience improvements within our products.

We are prioritizing candidates in the South Florida area (Miami / Fort Lauderdale) to foster close, in-person collaboration with our local Private Credit teams. We are also actively expanding in the Toronto area, which serves as a key hub for our product and engineering operations. Given our team’s concentration on the East Coast, we prefer candidates who can work primarily in Eastern Time (ET). We will also strongly consider candidates in the SF Bay Area who can join us in our San Francisco office 2-3 times per week.

What you’ll do

  • Partner with product managers to build an understanding of customer problems and business goals, brainstorm solutions, and craft high-impact product roadmaps.

  • Drive your projects from end-to-end with a high degree of ownership and autonomy, taking responsibility for the user experience of the Private Credit platform.

  • Translate intricate financial workflows, such as loan servicing and interest accrual, into elegant, data-rich user experiences across all levels of fidelity.

  • Conduct research and interpret product analytics to unlock insights about our customers’ unique challenges and measure the impact of your designs.

  • Work closely with engineers to ensure designs are shipped efficiently, maintaining high visual polish while adhering to mobile responsiveness and accessibility standards.

  • Regularly collaborate with your peers on the design team to give and receive feedback, up-leveling the collective craft of the organization.

  • Continuously improve and expand our design system, advocating for consistency and pattern reuse across the product suite.

  • Strong ability to articulate design decisions to cross-functional partners and lead collaborative brainstorming sessions.

  • A portfolio that showcases deep UX thinking, clear user journeys, and a high degree of visual polish.

Strongly Preferred

  • Direct experience in Investment Management, Real Estate, or Credit industries.

  • A track record of designing complex tables, filters, and data visualization tools.

  • Experience designing for "human-in-the-loop" AI features, focusing on user trust and data transparency.

  • Based in the Miami/Fort Lauderdale area to facilitate close collaboration with the Private Credit team.
