ROLLER helps its customers through a full suite of venue management features, including ticketing, point-of-sale, CRM, self-serve kiosks, memberships, digital waivers, and more. We are a fast-growing global company with customers in over 30 countries and a wide array of industries like theme parks, museums, zoos, trampoline parks, water parks, aquariums, and wake parks - just to name a few!

At the heart of ROLLER is our team - which consists of 100+ highly energetic, driven, intelligent, and humble professionals, all contributing to help build a great and enduring business. We truly believe that the sky's the limit for us, and we are well on our way toward becoming a global success story. But most of all, we love what we do, and we are looking for like-minded people to join us on this amazing journey!

About the Role

We're hiring a Senior Product Designer to help liberate the power of the web and help businesses across the globe enhance their guest experience, manage their work and employees better, grow and become more compelling. You'll play a central role in inventing and shaping our product experience, working as a true equal with engineering and product. This is a job where you can make your mark.

Why Should You Apply

Design is central to ROLLER, both as a product and company. Our big vision is to help our customers (leisure and entertainment businesses) operate more effectively and deliver a better guest experience for their customers.

You’ll have the opportunity to work on multiple types of products, from SaaS to eCommerce to CRM and more, with a wide range of complexities. Packaging up all the fantastic things you can do in a way that ANYONE can is a monumental design challenge.

At ~4 Product Designers across 5 different squads, we’re small enough that you can still significantly impact the product experience and the creative culture, and we’re big enough to have the resources to execute big ideas. The company is financially strong (we grow and hire mindfully, and we make millions of dollars in recurring revenue, with years of data to prove its durability).

What You’ll Do

You'll work on heavily-used products that push the industry forward. The best designs come from someone who can see it all through, from ideas to visuals to the finished product. You'll work on every stage of the product (research - development-ready design), not just small parts of the product.

As a senior designer, you’re not micro-managed and are expected to drive big and small projects. You’ll set direction, take ownership, make calls, and see things through without a lot of oversight. You’ll be able to communicate clearly with your colleagues, work across teams, and lend a helping hand when needed.

You approach your work with a spirit of partnership and collaboration, not exclusion or rigidness. You're a resourceful problem solver; you can feel for gaps in what you're working on, pitch solutions and implement them.

ROLLER is a remote-first company, and this is a remote job.

About Our Apps

You get a chance to work on and contribute to multiple projects and applications. Our apps consist of eCommerce and customer-facing products all the way through to Software as a Service dashboard and CRM products to help businesses manage their different branches, products, work, customers, staff and more.

We also have a newly made Design System that is crucial to the success of our complex suite of products.

About You

At many companies, product design is split into different roles: UX, UI, etc. At ROLLER, it’s all one role. This means our designers are generalists. Along with having great visual taste and sensibilities, you must be able to conduct research and have a good sense of Product life-cycle. You have a basic understanding of front-end HTML & CSS to design solutions that are possible to build most efficiently. You'll collaborate with programmers to bring features to life.

Here are some things we’ve worked on recently to give you a sense of what you’ll be doing day-to-day:

  • Built a fully managed eCommerce solution for our customers (businesses) to serve their customers
  • Made a daily task management solution to encourage a better and more efficient workflow for our customers
  • Interviewed, surveyed and user-tested our solutions with customers
  • Created a dashboard to provide better analytics for our customers
  • Ran competitor analysis and researched the market to identify gaps and opportunities
  • Built a guest feedback system for our customers to collect helpful feedback regarding their businesses
  • Designed solutions for our customers to better manage their venues and staff
  • Created complex sitemaps and user flows that make sense for our complex products
  • Built a new design system and approach to design and development
  • Worked closely with developers to ensure the quality of our designs
  • Facilitated workshops with key people to ensure we’re building the right solution

Perks!

  • You get to work on a category-leading product that customers love in a fun, high-growth industry- check our Capterra and G2 reviews.
  • 4 ROLLER Recharge days per year (that is 4 additional days of leave that we all take off together as a team to rest and recuperate)
  • Engage in our ‘Vibe Tribe’ - led by our team members; you can contribute to company-wide initiatives directly. Regular events and social activities, fundraising & cause-related campaigns... you name it. We're willing to make it happen!
  • Team member Assistance Program to proactively support our team's health and wellbeing - access to coaching, education modules, weekly webinars, and more.
  • 16 weeks paid Parental Leave for primary carers and 4 weeks paid Parental Leave for secondary carers
  • Highly flexible work environment with an All Access pass to WeWork depending on your location
  • Work with a driven, fun, and switched-on team that likes to raise the bar in all we do.
  • Individual learning & development budget plus genuine career growth opportunities as we continue to expand!
