About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Power BI Developer with strong expertise in building enterprise-grade dashboards and working with SAP HANA as a primary data source. The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end dashboard development, performance optimization, and collaborating with business stakeholders to translate complex data into actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

 Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports tailored to business requirements.

 Work extensively with SAP HANA data models and optimize data extraction for large datasets.

 Create and manage data models, DAX measures, and Power Query transformations to ensure efficient performance.

 Collaborate with business users and functional teams to gather reporting requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

 Implement and manage row-level security, data refresh schedules, and workspace governance.

 Integrate Power BI with other enterprise systems and tools where needed.

 Troubleshoot data issues, perform root-cause analysis, and optimize report performance.

 Stay updated on Power BI and SAP ecosystem enhancements to recommend improvements.

Required Skills & Experience

 5+ years of experience in Power BI development, including advanced DAX, Power Query (M), and data modeling.

 Strong experience connecting to and working with SAP HANA (views, calculation views, and query performance tuning).

 Proficiency in building complex data models, measures, KPIs, and drill- through reports.

 Experience with Power BI Service, including workspace management, security, and governance.

 Solid understanding of ETL processes, data warehouses, and data integration best practices.

 Experience in working in agile environments with cross-functional teams.

 Excellent communication skills to interact with business and technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have

 Knowledge of Azure Data Services (Data Factory, Synapse, or Databricks).

 Experience with SAP BW or SAP BO.

 Experience in performance tuning of complex dashboards.

 Power BI certification is an added advantage.

Education

 Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.

 Relevant certifications in Power BI or SAP HANA preferred.
