At Everbridge, we’re building a resilient, scalable, and secure cloud platform that powers critical services used around the world. We’re looking for a Senior Platform Security Engineer to play a key role in shaping how security is embedded directly into our platform at scale.
This is a remote, home-based role open to candidates located anywhere in the United States.
This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of cloud infrastructure, security engineering, and developer experience, helping teams move fast while staying secure.

Build security into the platform, not bolt it on
- Design and operate systems that provide clear, accurate, and actionable visibility into vulnerabilities across cloud and container environments
- Own how vulnerability data is collected, normalized, and surfaced to engineering teams
- Improve how security findings are correlated and prioritized, reducing noise and enabling faster remediation
- Integrate security data into platforms such as SIEM and vulnerability management systems
- Implement and evolve security controls across AWS and Kubernetes
- Partner with Platform Engineering to embed guardrails, policies, and best practices into the platform
- Help teams understand and act on security findings with clarity and confidence
- Contribute to secure-by-default patterns, tooling, and workflows
- Build and automate controls aligned with frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, and FedRAMP
- Ensure systems generate the evidence needed for audits without slowing teams down
- Embed security tooling into CI/CD pipelines
- Standardize how scans run and how results are reported across teams

- Experience in cloud security, platform engineering, or DevSecOps roles
- Strong hands-on expertise with AWS and Kubernetes
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or similar)
- Background integrating security tooling into CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with SIEM or security data platforms
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (including TLS)
- Knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, or FedRAMP
- High impact: You’ll directly influence how security operates across a large-scale platform
- Ownership: Shape systems and practices, not just maintain them
- Modern stack: Work with cloud-native technologies, Kubernetes, and evolving security tooling
- Cross-functional exposure: Collaborate closely with engineering, security, and compliance teams
- Meaningful work: Help secure systems that support critical, real-world use cases
The reasonably estimated salary for this role at Everbridge ranges from $132,900 - $177,200 and may also include variable compensation. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
