Join us in building the foundational platform that enables teams across SEEK to safely and effectively harness Generative AI in products and workflows at enterprise scale. As a Senior Platform Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping how AI transforms our business while ensuring security, reliability, and scalability remain at the forefront.

This is a hands-on role where you'll architect, implement, and operate large-scale production systems that directly impact millions of users across the SEEK network. You'll work at the intersection of cutting-edge AI technology and robust platform engineering, collaborating with diverse teams to bring AI capabilities into real-world solutions.

What You'll Do

Core Platform Development:

• Design, build, and operate the infrastructure that powers Generative AI adoption across our business units
• Deploy and manage large-scale mission-critical systems using Infrastructure as Code principles with Terraform
• Integrate internal systems and third-party AI services into a cohesive, secure, and highly reliable platform

Operational Excellence:

• Build robust CI/CD pipelines and automation tools that streamline development and deployment workflows
• Implement industry best practices for observability, incident response, and operational excellence
• Ensure platform reliability, security, and performance meet enterprise-grade standards

Cross-functional Collaboration:

• Partner closely with product engineering teams to embed Generative AI capabilities into customer-facing solutions
• Work with security and compliance teams to ensure AI implementations meet regulatory and safety requirements
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical decision-making processes

Innovation Leadership:

• Stay current with AI/ML infrastructure trends and evaluate new technologies for potential adoption
• Drive technical improvements and architectural decisions that scale with business growth
• Contribute to SEEK's engineering culture through knowledge sharing and technical excellence

Technical Expertise:

• Proven experience operating large-scale production systems in AWS cloud environments
• Advanced skills in Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform for infrastructure management
• Proficiency in Go or Python with hands-on CI/CD experience (Buildkite preferred)
• Strong networking fundamentals and API management knowledge
• Experience with observability tools like Datadog and backup/recovery systems

• Track record of working effectively in cross-functional teams
• Strong communication abilities with experience mentoring other engineers
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills in complex, fast-paced environments
• Experience with agile development practices
