Location: Remote role based in Poland

About the team:

You will be part of the Engineering team, which is responsible for developing and maintaining the SaaS platform end-to-end.

Our Profitero teams are distributed internationally, but core members of the Engineering team are located in Eastern Europe.

Key responsibilities:​

• Participation in splitting a huge monolith into microservices;
• Create complex deployment architectures on GCP(feature, pre-prod, production);
• Collaboration with developers to create the best approaches;
• DevOps teams coaching;
• Creation/Implementation of design database migrations;
• Creation/Implementation design of deployment rollbacks;
• Creation/Implementation of ways for reducing the cost of infrastructure, and time to market;

We expect:

• Proficient in core Google Cloud services and understanding of GCP best practices;
• Proficient in working with Terraform modules and resources for scalable infrastructure;
• Extensive experience with Kubernetes and Docker;
• Strong experience in working with and administering Argo CD;
• Knowledge of GitOps practices and workflows to streamline CI/CD processes;
• Experience with Linux;
• Extensive experience working with logging and monitoring/alerting (Stackdriver, Grafana, ELK Stack, Prometheus);
• Experience in the implementation of Kafka, RabbitMQ, and tuning for high-throughput environments;
• Working experience in an Agile environment;
• English B2;
  
• Location: only Poland;
  

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with scripting languages (Bash, Python, or Go) for automation;
• Knowledge of security practices, including secrets management and data encryption;
• Experience with configuration management systems (Ansible);
• Experience with the administration of large-scale relational databases and data warehouses;
• Understanding  of cloud networking architecture;
