Senior Platform Engineer

Burendo is looking for a Senior Platform Engineer with AWS experience to help design, build, and support modern cloud platforms across a range of exciting projects.

You’ll work closely with engineers and clients to enable secure, reliable, and scalable software delivery, owning platforms from build through to production.

What You’ll Do

• Build and operate AWS-based platforms
• Automate infrastructure using Terraform or similar
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines
• Support and improve live production systems
• Collaborate via pairing and mobbing
• Mentor engineers and promote best practices

What You’ll Bring

• Strong experience with AWS
• Infrastructure-as-code experience (Terraform or equivalent)
• CI/CD tooling experience (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps)
• Coding/scripting skills (Python, JavaScript, Node.js, C#, or Java)
• Solid Git and source control knowledge
• Agile delivery experience
• Experience supporting live products
• Database experience (SQL or NoSQL)
• Clear communication and a collaborative mindset

Nice to Have

• NoSQL experience (e.g. MongoDB, DynamoDB)
• Consulting, public sector, Retail or Financial Services experience
• Community involvement (blogs, meetups, talks)
