Senior Performance Marketing Manager
TLDR
Lead the development and execution of performance marketing strategies to enhance acquisition metrics in a high-growth iGaming environment.
KingMakers is a proudly African company shaping the future of sports and iGaming entertainment across the continent.
Since 2018, we’ve been building platforms, including BetKing and SuperSportBet, that bring millions of fans closer to the excitement of play through technology, integrity, and innovation.
Currently operating in Nigeria, South Africa and Zambia, we’re part of a new generation of African businesses redefining what quality, trust, and entertainment look like in our industry.
Our vision is clear: to be the home where Africa plays.
At KingMakers, we move fast, stay curious, and hold ourselves to high standards of performance and accountability. We believe great products don’t just entertain - they build connection, opportunity, and pride across the communities we serve.
We are at a key moment in how we scale performance marketing across our markets.
We are building in-house capabilities to take greater ownership of our acquisition strategy, execution, and long-term growth. This role will be central to that journey.
We’re looking for a Senior Performance Marketing Manager to own acquisition performance in South Africa, while helping shape how we leverage opportunities across multiple markets. This is not just a channel management role - it’s a builder role.
You will combine strategic leadership with hands-on execution, manage and grow a team, and play a key role in building a high-performing, in-house function from the ground up.
If you’re someone who enjoys owning outcomes, working close to the data, and building something from scratch in a high-growth environment, this is the role for you.
What You’ll Be Doing
Own the performance strategy
· Define and execute the performance marketing strategy across paid channels (Meta, Google and beyond).
· Own key acquisition metrics: FTDs, CPA, New User NGR, LTV and overall channel efficiency.
· Shift optimisation from short-term CPA to long-term customer value.
Drive execution and performance
· Stay close to daily campaign performance and optimization.
· Step into hands-on execution when needed.
· Ensure best-in-class campaign setup, tracking and reporting.
Build and lead the team
· Hire, manage and develop Performance Marketing Specialists.
· Create a high-performance culture with clear ownership and accountability.
· Set the structure for a scalable in-house function.
Manage partners and stakeholders
· Manage external partners, platforms and commercial relationships.
· Work closely with Product, Data and Marketing teams.
· Deliver clear weekly and monthly performance reporting to stakeholders.
Build for scale
· Contribute to expanding performance marketing into new markets over time.
· Help define how performance marketing operates across the group.
· Continuously improve processes, tools and ways of working.

Commercial & analytical mindset
- Strong data-driven approach to decision making.
- Ability to understand and explain performance drivers, not just report numbers.
- Comfortable redefining business metrics into actionable performance marketing KPIs.

· Experience building or scaling an in-house performance marketing team.
