About the role:
We are seeking a senior, highly driven People Operations Specialist to fully own our HR & Operations function across Vietnam and the US. This role is critical to ensuring seamless, compliant, and efficient people operations while supporting a fast-growing, US-based AI startup environment.
The ideal candidate thrives in startup pace, takes full responsibility end to end, and is comfortable balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
Key responsibilities:
1. End-to-End HR Operations Ownership (VN & US)
- Fully own HR Operations across the entire employee lifecycle for Vietnam and the US
- Execute and continuously improve onboarding, offboarding, employee data management, benefits administration, and HR documentation
- Act as the single point of accountability for HR operational accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
- Coordinate and oversee US payroll execution via Gusto and external vendors
- Own payroll processing for contractors
- Support compensation and benefits administration to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery
2. HR Systems & Data Management
- Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for HR systems, including Gusto (US payroll) and other HR platforms (e.g., Fidelity, performance systems)
- Manage mass HR data changes, audits, and reporting requests with high accuracy
- Maintain and continuously improve HR system documentation, SOPs, and user guides
3. Employee Support & Service Delivery
- Serve as the primary contact and escalation point for HR-related questions from employees and managers in both Vietnam and the US
- Handle sensitive employee matters with discretion, fairness, and empathy
4. Talent & External Coordination
- Collaborate with recruitment agencies to support hiring needs
- Partner with leadership on people-related and organizational initiatives as the company scales
Qualifications:
Required:

6+ years of experience in HR Operations, People Operations, or HR Generalist roles
- Proven experience owning HR operations end to end, ideally across multiple countries
- Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and execution skills
- Strong English communication skills
Preferred
- Experience working in a US-based startup or high-growth tech company
- Experience supporting cross-border teams (Vietnam–US)
- Comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-changing environments
