About the Role

Reporting to the HR Director, the Senior People Operations Generalist is a critical role responsible for the operational infrastructure of our global HR function. This individual ensures our internal processes, provincial filings, and international employment standards are maintained to the highest degree of accuracy. We are looking for a resourceful professional who can independently navigate regulatory environments, collaborate with external experts, and translate compliance requirements into clear internal procedures.

What to Expect

• Global Compliance & Research: Monitor and research employment standards across our international jurisdictions. Act as a resource for employment-related matters in our direct-hire locations and support matters involving our EOR partners as needed.
• Audit & Governance: Serve as the primary HR point of contact for SOC 2 Type II audits, ensuring all evidence and documentation meet compliance standards.
• Quebec Regulatory Management: Manage the administrative requirements for our OQLF francization process and lead the tracking and reporting for Bill 90 (1% training law).
• Compensation & Modeling: Partner with the HR Director on annual merit increase modeling, salary band maintenance, and the administration of global bonus programs.
• Performance Support: Review and provide feedback on PIPs and disciplinary documentation to ensure they align with local standards and Broadsign’s internal frameworks.
• Immigration & Mobility: Coordinate Canadian and US immigration files, acting as the liaison between employees and external immigration counsel.
• Policy & Process Improvement: Maintain the Global Employee Handbook and update internal policies. Work cross-functionally to identify opportunities for process automation and operational efficiency.
• Health & Safety Leadership: Take accountability for monitoring and implementing global Health & Safety regulations, ensuring Broadsign remains compliant with local workplace safety standards in all regions.

What you need to perform in this job

• Experience: 4–6 years in HR Operations or a Generalist role with a strong focus on compliance and process management.
• Bilingualism: Professional fluency in both French and English is required for provincial filings and global team communication.
• Resourcefulness: Proven ability to research unfamiliar regulatory topics and provide clear, concise summaries for the business.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

Knowledge of French is required for positions permanently located in Quebec so incumbents can communicate with their colleagues and partners in Quebec as necessary. French-language training is offered to all incumbents in permanent positions in Quebec who do not have a good knowledge of French. Fluent English is required for this position in order to communicate with colleagues, clients and partners (or suppliers) located outside Quebec and to understand the technical and scientific documentation used in our industry
